well, we had this cat which would intimidate our dog off his dinner, if that didnt work, he would keep swiping the dog with his paw, which always worked.

So, I found out yesterday that my puppy is a kleptomaniac. He goes over to the neighbor's house in the morning to play with their dog, which is fine. But, my neighbor left me a message yesterday. Apparently Daniel went over there, saw that Chewbacca (isn't that a great name) wasn't outside, so he ate Chewbacca's breakfast and stole a winter glove as a memento of his visit.

My neighbor's son saw him prancing by their window with the glove, which I later found in my yard. So, after work I had to head over there with the glove and an apology. They actually thought it was hilarious, especially since they've been blaming their own dog for the mysterious movements of various items from inside their garage to other places in their yard, such as a pair of earmuffs, another glove, etc.

So, to put this back on topic, my klepto puppy and I will be stealing this thread.

Long ago I had a little white(ish) Pekingese. She would often stand on her hind legs and peer over the top of the lower storm door panel and bark at things.

One day she was going positively berserk at something, so I went to look, and there was a tiny white kitten on our front porch.

I think to myself, "In a worst case, I'm sure the kitten can outrun the dog, so let's see what happens." and I open the door. The dog plops onto the porch, and stands still. The kitten gives her a look that says, "What are you? Are you my mother?" The dog glares, but does nothing.

So I grab each animal by the scruff of the neck and attempt to pull them closer and make introductions. The dog starts backpedaling furiously with all four feet! "You miserable fraud!" I think. Just like the Cowardly Lion: "Lemme at 'im! Lemme at 'im! No, no, wait, I didn't really mean it!!"

Gaelen is not my given name but it is my real name. I changed it about 8 yrs ago and it is what everyone in my life calls me! I picked it because I wanted an unusual name, my given name was unusual when I was little but it has since become very popular! Oh the ironies of life!!! I chose the ancient spelling of the name because I’m a medieval nut too.

It takes me exactly three minutes and forty seconds, on average, to drive the distance between home and work. Eat your heart out!

The last remaining daughter at home got my laptop and we have a DSL network, so she can go online whenever she wants. What I used to hate with the old dial-up was when I would fire up Compuserve and then walk away form the computer while it was doing its log-on thing. My wife would notice the live connection and the empty chair, and sit in it. (the chair, not the connection) I love her, and I wouldn't mind this. But then, when she was finished, she would SIGN OFF. Arrrggh!!! That's one of several reason why I shelled out for the DSL line at home. Well worth it!

I can talk at the moment as the site is behaving, lately I have been finding it impossible. Pages have been taking 10 minutes plus to load and then that does not always work so I stuck on a out dated page for hours on end.
