Actually...I'm going ahead and starting the 1st build-up tomorrow. I'll post some pics of casted parts, but for the most part I'll be busy with that tomorrow.
I've got a little tiny edge to trim from the base mold, but other than that we ran out of molding silicone, and ordered more today, so that means that the right wing is holding for more mold material. But, I can complete the pilot, and the cockpit and seat, and have them ready when the materials arrive.
And go forward and begin my build-up minus the right wing! :D
It'll be somethng to show. And everyone can see what the finished viper will look like! :salute:

NEW PICS TODAY
Here's the 1st casting of the base. It has just minor spots along the top edge that need to be smoothed, but NO BUBBLES! Once that edge is rounded smooth with a small file or sand paper it's great! :D More to come today! :salute:

:colonial: NEW PHOTO UPDATE!!!! :colonial:
Here is the first pic of our canopy casting. Some have a bubble or 2, but each seems to be getting better with each technique we try. Any bubbles will be corrected and filled before we send these out! Terri and I do believe in attempting to fix problems in our work. The windows have been trimmed out, and I'll tell you all now that they are so thin that a butter knife could remove them, very easy to do without mistakes. Like I made trimming this out, I'm still bleeding! X-acto's are KILLER! :salute:
http://tinypic.com/k1a13b.jpg
The next pic shows that I'm just begining to test fit the parts for the fuselage to the intakes, a little putty required! :D And getting ready to do the 1st build-up for show here. Also test fitting the canopy, and fixture behind canopy which needs only a slight curve filed to fit the curve of the fuselage. The canopy itself seems to fall into place with hardly a problem. :D

I have posted this elsewhere, but HERE seems to be a good place as well.
For those of you who are involved in casting urethane, I am about to pass on some IMPORTANT INFORMATION.
PLEASE KEEP READING.
Here's the low-down: Urethane, when it cures, releases Isocyanate gasses. Sound familiar? That's because the root word is Cyanaide... a poison.
Isocyanates are long-term poisons that build up in your system. Your body will try very hard to get rid of them, but they don't like to go easily. Exposure to them (even regulated exposure) wil eventually cause them to build up in your body and make you ill.
The amount that it takes varies from person to person, and the time it takes to build up in your body varies as well. But over time, you will develop a sensitivity to them.
Typical symptoms include: shortness of breath (induced athsma), skin rashes, itching, throat irritation, dizziness, and oddly enough, back pain. Other, less obvious effects are irritability, short temper, and even paranoia.
But like I mentioned, this all varies from person to person.
So, how to avoid all this? Easy:
1) get yourself a NIOSH approved filter mask with the biggest, most ass-kicking filter cartridges you can buy. Make sure your catridges are the highest rated ones you can get. They won't completely protect you, but they will help limit the exposure through your lungs.
2) set up your workspace so that you are cross-ventilating to the OUTDOORS. This means you need to have a CONSTANT flow of air running through your space. Clean air must enter at one end and fume-y air must be vented out the other end. Be sure you don't vent right into an area that supplies air to another house or building. Your fumes will just get sucked up and deposited into their space.
3) always wear latex (or if you're allegic to latex) nitrile gloves when handling the urethane components or the mixed combo. Not only can Isocyanates enter your body through the lungs as fumes, but they also affect you through the skin. Be sure to get yourself some of those disposable tyvec jumpsuits they use when they paint cars. It'll keep you from wrecking your clothing.
4) Use and Do all the stuff above.
5) If you feel like you've started to show any of the signs of overexposure, you need to get away from the stuff. Take a break from it for at least two weeks. In the mean time, you can exercise and pump your lungs good and hard...run, bike, whatever. Drink ALOT of water. It helps your body get rid of the toxins. And best of all, get thee to a sauna. Especially after you workout. A sauna will force you to sweat alot and encourage your body to expell the toxins that way.
Once again, THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
And note: BECAUSE YOU DO NOT FEEL THESE EFFECTS IMMEDIATELY DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE NOT DAMAGING YOUR BODY! Like I said, this stuff builds up over time and exposure and WILL eventually cause you problems. Put away your ego and stop thinking you're invulnerable.
I deal with the effects of overexposure on a dialy basis... I have been using the material long enough that I may never actually expell all of the toxins from my body.
I have been so overexposed that when I use urethanes, I must completely isolate myself from direct contact or I WILL end up in the hospital. The way I do this is to follow the rules above. TO THE LETTER.
If you'd like to hear explicit details of overexposure, I will be happy to scare the crap out of you with tales of my own and others experiences.
Rant ends.

Am sitting here in the art studio, and at the coputer while sanding down the primer on this bird.
And well, all of the parts are there except the cannons, right wing, and thruster nozzles. So I can begin a build-up, and throw the rest in with the cockpit and pilot much later. But it can be built and detaild, then the rest added last. :D

THANK YOU GORDON!!! That means something coming from a real pro with your experience!
Although, this model will require a good eye for making sure the body connection points are all level and proper. It will not be as easy as the Jesse Myers viper, but when done with care, it looks great even primed beside of TOS! :D
I'll definately continue pointing out the rough spots some will encounter upon build-up. Don't say I did'nt state these things as (matter of fact) here first. Everyone, keep your reviews to yourself. I've been an artist for over 20 years, and no ones critisisms can come close to affecting me like my own! Ask Terri, I'm real serious about being a perfectionist with my art. And model building as well. This is a model, a work of creativity, it will not fall together and fit perfectly, but I'll make damn sure that every casting, will be filled and sanded and whatever it takes to make ease of assembly much better. In some cases I've decided that if necessary, I'll do a pre-build, and refine the cast parts before shipment.
And Gordon, I can't begin to explain "what" I'm on! :rotf:
Talk to you soon.

NEW PICS!!!
Okay, painting this bird. Here goes.
The primers were basic, few coats of standard grey, sand, prime, sand and you know the routine. :D Then I did a light priming with white. The first actual paint coat is model master (acryl) grey primer #4690 with green zinc chromate #4852 added to the grey to give it a nice greenish tint, but don't over do it. It should not be more green than grey. I'd say about 20% green. This will really enhance the detail and depth of the model when complete. ;)

I am SO friggin' jealous. I SO desire the time to do what you're doing right now. Work schedule is filling up so I won't have any hobby time in the next two or three weeks (which I guess is okay since you're not exactly finished casting the kits... how's THAT for kismet?). But I know I have an SMT Colonial Shuttle kit coming in the next two months or so, plus a secret private project that I've taken on for Peter Noble. Plus the continuing creation of obscure Galactica resin replica kits for all you good folks. Add to that all of my non-galactica related commitments (making puppet videos, writing my comic series, building art-piece ray guns, commitments to the Starship Exeter production, writing two books, blah blah blah) and It's going to be a task to carve out a time when I can lavish the kind of "finish love" on the kit that I so enjoy. Its a matter of available time and residual energy by the end of the day.
So Michael, did you win the lottery or something? Or are you making a living wage being an artist? I know it's possible to do so, but I know very few people who are.

Hey Gordon!!!
No, did'nt win the lottery or anything. Have struggled for over 20 yarhens with this artistry career. I have paid my dues, and am just begining to be recognised. I do commission works, have been in shows and galleries, online portfolios at http://www.artwanted.com/MichaelMiles and sell on e-bay as well as do this everyday of the year, with rarly a day off. And even then i am painting or sculpting before the day is over. :D
Here is the next pic of the painting process. I added to the base color I described before, flat white 7 parts, acryl aluminum 4 parts #4677 and lt. grey #4765 10 parts to begin the different panel tones. Take a look. ;)

Though you all would like to take a peek at the original drawing that I had done back over 2 years ago when I was originally pre-paring for this project. I really did'nt like the DeSanto design, and as you can tell.... I TRIED a little to much to alter it back to TOS viper as much as I could. :wtf:
It was ridiculous now that I look back at this drawing, but I hated it. Now i love it. And understand the evolution that it took. But still, here is my silly re-designing of the Mk.IV viper. A blast from the past! :D

Hey can I get a copy of that to go with my Viper?
Jim
I kinda was gonna frame this and place it above the viper squadron that I'm gonna make. I could probably make prints of it for $20.00 a piece. If your interested? Are you still interested in the painting of the Frazetta remake of the warrior women? If you are, I'll make a package deal on that set up. :salute:
I've decided to do another painting of that same theme that Frazetta had done, but with all the female warriors wearing the DeSanto outfits and the Mk.IV Vipers behind them with the advanced cylon raiders overhead! But, making them in very dense watercolor and gouache and hand painting each one so that each will be unique and original in itself. And only offering a limited set of 10 just exclusively for the purchasers of the Mk.IV viper kits. 18x24" heavy archival watercolor paper with signed certificate of authenticity. The price will be especially low at $ 125.00 and will be shipped for free to those that want it. This is a great idea that I'm about to discuss with Terri, (if I can ever get her to answer the phone!!! :D ) Just came up with this idea on the spot while typing this reply. My mind is racing through a constellation of thoughts and ideas. I wish I could write them all down. But too fast! I've decided that just for fun...again :D I'm gonna throw in another old pic of this project back when it was just begining over 2 yarhens ago, this is cool for me to come across, cause I have so many pics of this build-up it's ridiculous, I could write a book, and fill it with pics. :rotf:
http://tinypic.com/k49qpx.jpg
The wings were just too long, and the fuselage was all the wrong shape to fit the intake area and according to the plans, just wrong underneath in general. so I remade the whole thing...no problem! :D
http://tinypic.com/k49qvt.jpg
And last but not least, one of my very favorite pieces is one of the blasters that I got from Rob over at sci-fi models that I worked over like HELL and spent a long time on the finish. I still have yet to add the red and yellow light details, but I just think that painted activation and power light look like s**t! But I'll add them if I figure out a way to make them look realistic. I now love this piece and everyone has played with it! :D

Paint looks great so far.
I think you should paint the viper in the traditional style of the originals.
I am going to paint mine that way with some minor modifications, like painting the nose the same color as the stripes.

Got to go now, time to hit the Linux books and fire up the Linux Box.

thanks for the thoughts Barry. And actually, when done, the painted viper will have almost the same tones once I get the panels all done. The way I'm painting it now with the various tones added just gives it more depth to the finished subject. It'll be looking like it belongs next to TOS viper in colors and details. :salute:

New Painting Pic!!
Here's what I have done thus far for detailing the models various paint tones. Added multiple parts of dark gull grey, light grey, and white. On some panels, specifically the two laser torpedoes on either side of cockpit, a slight tint of chameleon pearlecsent was added to give it a different kind of metallic look. But don't over do it with this, as you only want it to appear reflecting color, not solid. Then I slightly tinted italian red, (all colors by the way are still modelmaster acryl) with a little yellow, then began marking my lines and hand painted (very thinly) the orangish-red stripes. Then have begun slight weathering on panels and engine section of viper. But she's no where NEAR DONE! :D

Okay, alot of you have been hollering..."Cockpit Pics!!!!"
Here it is finally sculpted right. I've tried and failed at numerous attempts and different ways of trying to build it, but being an artist I went with natural instinct and actually sculpted the thing with Aves Epoxy Sculpt! The BEST sculpting compound period, in my opinion.
Whats next with it? Once cured, about another hour from now, I'll be able to remove it from the fuselage, then begin filing, sanding, drilling, dremeling, and adding instrument details and what nots! But here it is, before refinement. :salute:

You are so right! Sept.17th, hae a drink. :salute:
Randy Rhoads was and still is one of the most influential guitarists of our time. I celebrate his legacy and music, and post his image as an avatar because it reminds me not to take life for granted, nor our gifts that we have been given. In the twinkle of an eye, it can all end.
March 1982:
Associated Press
March 20, 1982, Leesburg, Fla. A small plane crashed into a
mansion here and burst into flames yesterday, killing the lead
guitarist of the Ozzy Osbourne rock group and two other people,
police said.
The crash killed guitarist Randall Rhoads, 25, the pilot of the
Beechcraft Bonanza - Andrew Aycock, 36 - and Rachel Youngblood,
58, the group's makeup artist and hairdresser. The plane's pilot
was also the group's bus driver. "He was a saint," Ozzy said, "He was an angel, and too good for this world. His death's always on my mind." Every year at the anniversary of his birth and death, fans from all over the world gather at his grave site to honor his passing. We will never forget him. His musical legacy lives on in the minds and music of his many fans.

Tomorrow will begin entirely new updates and photos. We are about finished with the commission art pieces that have taken the time of a day or 3. :D
And are about to take a Lil' nap time, and get up and get back on it. The cockpit details will be covered tomorrow as well as begining pics of the pilot figure. Hang on till Fri Barry! :D I'll get ya some new stuff on this thread.
To finish the whole project and ship?
1. Making the mold for both cannons as soon as the materials arrive.
2. Finish the pilot figure.
3. Complete the instrumentation
4. Thruster nozzles
And you'l all have vipers being shipped. It's not really that much longer, just gonna take me some un-interupted time. I see the finish line and I can't wait to ship. :D

Just a suggestion. As a model builder, I find the more angular gemetric stuff easier to build from hard materials like styrene card or prototype board instead of trying to sculpt straight lines with a soft medium at the outset.
Its all a matter of preference, of course you may find that you have no taste for that as a medium, but it's always been so much faster for me. That's why I recommend it.

Just finished a long conversation with Tom testerday afternoon, and upon recieveing a couple of e-mails with (other) pics, I have some very "hush hush" changes to make. But will be following up with new images and construction info early this week. Your patience will be rewarded.
Oh, by the way, viper markings will be changed to some that Tom sent yesterday.
So the ones that was seen on my begining build-up are and idea that he liked, but i believe he wants me to go with the (more in TOS type) of markings that he prefers. So, he gets what he wants!!! :D And , you'll all be getting a more accurate marked ship, compareable to the vipers his Galactica will feature.

I think Michael was being promotionally positive. If and when Tom DeSanto manages to secure some sort of continuation deal, I'm sure he'll let us know post-haste. I mean, WE ARE the fan core, aren't we?
And won't that just be a GREAT COME AND GET IT day?
Note: If you don't recognize the reference, watch "Finnian's Rainbow" starring Fred (Chameleon) Astaire. Its a musical.
But Michael has entered the Long, Dark Teatime of the DeSanto Viper Project. Its nothing but a cornucopian schlogg of hard work from this point on. He's got molds to finish and alot of very "non-photogenic" processes to get through to get us our kits.
Be not afraid. He's working on it. And so, if rumors are to be believed, is Tom D.

And let me throw one to ALL viper lovers out there. The so called NEW SERIES Viper Mk. II is NOT the Viper Mk. II!!!!
It is not a Mk. ANYTHING! LOL! :rotf:
The Tom DeSanto Viper that we all semm to be calling the Viper Mk.IV is ACTUALLY THE Viper Mk.II!!! :D How that to start some new controversy? I just recently have recieved the final design for the DeSanto Viper and what I can tell you is this. 1. The final renders and approved Viper Designs that was to be the Viper, I and Terri along with Tom DeSanto only have these final renders. And 2. the Viper in question is designated the Viper Mk.II ! There was never a Mk.III or Mk.IV and we don't know how that came to be? So it is OFFICIALLY The Viper Mk.II and t5here is no Mk.IV! :D FACT!
Anyway, I'm on the pilot sculpt and it's tough, but will have pics up soon.

The term MK 4 came into use when I needed a name for the 1/48 scale model I had mastered.
MK 4 was used because there was/is a MKII Viper used in the NEW series; it has been called the MKII by Ron Moore and the VFX artists for the new series along with the MK 7 Viper. I just chose something in the middle.

Hey Jim! And Salute. :salute:
I do not believe that, that Viper was known as anything but the Colonial Viper. Just Viper, at the time period, no one thinks too much about what version the first fighters are. And it was probably not thought about in the writing of the show. But, YOU know it is the DeSanto Mk.IV Advanced Colonial Viper. And that is the true designation of this fighter variant. Rob states that it was his idea to give it that designation, and To had nothing to do with it. And now, after letting him in on it, he knows where it originated.
Have a good night Jim, I'm up burning the midnight oil. Have a Viper that the world is waiting on. :D

Actually after looking a t drawing plans after drawing plans, I arrived at this type, which I screwed up a few times, but is great now after learning what was causing me problems. I put it down many times before trying again, and this is cool. :salute:
I'll make three molds of this so that each is identical. Besides, I would'nt want to attempt that crap again. :D
She is ready to ship as soon as these molds are done and as soon as the pilot is complete, which I'm working on and will have pics today sometime. :salute:

I was thinking that the thruster nozzles would have been a little bit bigger to take up all of the space where they are set. Other than that I like, but that just me.

But he's moving faster now. I'm going to do him full body in a standing pose, then cut him at the right spot so that he'll seat in the viper properly. BUT....he'll also be available to order extra to stand next to the viper. But I'm typing this now with a HUGE hole in my mouth where an enormous tooth used to be, and the laughing gas and codiene is still kicking! :rotf:

Anyway,.....heres where we are at currently. Am waiting to get final approval for the tweaking that I did of the DeSanto final Raider design. Have begun drawing out my plans and prints on this, so as an artist does to give me all the different views and angles of this cool fighter. Am already to go as far as the master build and have ALL and I mean ALL of the materials needed to complete this build. It will be in scale with TOS and Mk.2 Vipers making it 1/24th. It is BIG!
On the Viper you are waiting on, am re-doing the markings and still detailing the pilot sculpt. Will have build-up pics with descriptions in a day or two. If you have any questions...shoot! If you have any ideas, I'm waiting to hear from you. I believe that I may work out a deal with Rob on the Raider castings, but will know more later. If so, this will be cast pretty much semi-hollow to make it lighter and easier to install lights and the cockpit kit that will come shortly after. The cockpit kit will include sculpts of the DeSanto Cylon pilots and the up-dated controls and seats. This will be cool, getting the full blueprints really helped me see how it should be built, and my drawings have somewhat simplified in my minds eye the proper way to make it a reality. :salute:
Rob, get in touch. :D :barf:

Meaning, that you all demand a posting from me and then when I give you one, I get no comments or input of any sort in return??? :wtf:
If this is the direction that this thread is going, I'm considering not even begining a thread for the new Raider project. I'm very sad and slightly annoyed at the fact that some have been whining about info from me and then fail to care enough in return to respond to my updates?

“Demanding, whining” I’ve yet to see anyone demand or whine about the Viper.
Quite the opposite, they praise you and are waiting patiently for the final product.
Now if you are feeling frustrated about participation, you will get more bee’s with honey then you will with vinegar. I myself have been waiting since you’ve offered the preorder some months back and plan to wait for the final product.
I’m not trying to hurry you along or upset you with a request as to what’s happening with the Viper. I am not one for participating in a thread but would rather read and watch what’s going on. I felt I should participate by asking for an update because it seemed very quiet for a number of days. Now if you really think that I am personally responsible for the demanding or whining, you can always offer me a refund of the prepayment and I will no longer participate or watch this thread.
Thanks, Barry.

Okay, this is the original series Viper that I was commission to build-up and includes lights which I'm working on the finishing of now. The holes that you see along the canopy mechanism are for the hydralic tube works that will allow the canopy to raise and lower. It took along time to design and work out the kinks in it. I also had to rebuild the canopy so that it held the glass that I installed better. But it's not my DeSanto buid-up, but it's a work of art...or will be once finished! :D

Michael,
Whats' to comment on? You're kicking arse here. You have to understand that if the conversation gets too drawn out, people are going to start losing interest. Its not that your work isn't any good...far far FAR from it.
But to use somewhat graphic but shared terminology, you can only tease your lover so much before she becomes numb. ;)
It very cool to see all the development going on and we are all grateful that you're givng us the inside look. But you've gotta watch out for that "next prettiest girl" both for yourself AND for your audience. She'll steal the attention away every time.
That having been said, we're all waiting patiently for the freakishly superb DeSanto Viper kit you're making. You'll have to forgive us the occasional exasperated sigh. We know it will be worth it.
So, the lesson here is "Don't let frustration build and ruin a fun time. On EITHER side."

http://i1.tinypic.com/o9fxio.jpg
Okay dude, Comments? You desire comments?
I think your sculpt is really cool looking.
The original helmet sculpt (from the preproduction stills) doesn't look very good. I think the detailing is overdone. I think the proportions are funky and look far too back-heavy. I think the design fits far too closely to the face and would have hampered the actors ability to reach a range of expression necessary for modern audiences. And I think the sculptor/designer was trying far too hard to "update" a helmet that needs very little to do so.
Honestly? I would have LOVED to have a shot at redesigning the helmet. But I haven't. I may consider that as a project sometime soon. If I get some time.
I haven't seen any of the other reference for the fighter pilot outfits, so there's nothing to comment upon as far as the suit goes. I hope there's some remnant of the big box-y buckles going on with the front of the "jacket". Making the whole thing too streamlined removes visual interest... especially when you're talking about shooting in hard light. No detail, no shadows. No shadows, no depth. No depth, no visual interest.
Yes, having a form-fitting flight suit is sexy. And I'm sure that the female pilots would have looked just lovely encased in flexible, form-fitting boobie traps like that (if you're into the whole latex/bondage thing). But there's a reason that certain types of clothing are cut the way they are... to help accentuate the good things and de-emphasize the bad things. And tailors over the centuries have managed to figure out a very refined system of making that happen. Remember the first season of ST:NG?
Gene Roddenberry wanted to put everybody into skin-tight jumpsuits. He had a thing for the jumpsuit. He thought it was the coolest thing ever. The problem is that a one-piece garment is about the most inefficient way to clothe a human being. Just ask any WOMAN who has been forced to wear a jumpsuit. They'll rip your ear off telling you exactly what you can do with a jumpsuit and where it will fit in your designer's anatomy.
The other problem with skin-tight wardrobe is that it accentuates the DIFFERENCES in everyone's body type in your cast. You don't want that. If you're dealing with a military look, you want everyone (at least from the neck down) to have a similar line to their uniform. And military uniforms are what we're talking about here. When properly fitted, a military uniform should look just as good on a short person with a long waist as it does on a tall person with short legs.
Can't do that with a jumpsuit unless you pad and tailor each and every suit (like they did for season one of ST:NG. And then they started getting into trouble with the cast gaining weight and aging. Expensive. That's why they switched to the tunic/pants combo almost immediately. Notice that nobody ever wore the "skant" version of the uniform after season one? Thats because it just looked stupid. Very few people have photogenic knees.
Okay, I know we're talking about a suit that'd only be worn in the cockpit, but the production would eventually need to show them in the suits outside the cockpit. Best to just deal with the problem from an overall standpoint at square one.

I will try to get some ideas down on paper soon. The thing is that I don't have anything against the overall detailing of the Desanto helmet. I just think it looks out of proportion and back-heavy. But that just may be the way the sculptor interpreted it.
But I have a few ideas about what I would have done on my own, so I'll get them on paper first. I'll try to do that sometime this week while I'm thinking about it.

I still need to get a Studio Scale TOS Viper. The Desanto raider will have to wait a bit for me.

Hi all, WOW!!! Does this mean the Desanto Vipers are just about ready??!!
That rocks!! I think I am last in line for the pre order though! Bluesquad, you are a bad man, waving a studio scale raider under our noses as well! Time for me to drop to my knees and plead with my minister for war and finance, to try and justify why we need one! Can't wait to see the soon to be shipped viper and looking forward to following the progress of the raider as well. Cheers from down under, Chris

Yes they are just about ready. And, it'll be worth the wait. I learned alot of lessons while casting this, and do not make the same mistakes twice! :D
The Raider is practically falling together. And will follow quickly on the Vipers tail!

I was referring to the back of the DeSanto viper which seemd to be about 2/3rds of the ass end of what I created for the ROS CG viper.

Oooops! Should have posted sooner. But here he is, and nearly complete!
This has been a PAIN IN THE A*$!!! :D
But, the pilot is turning out good, and the standing male and female versions will be killer.
Also, with the Raider, will be Cylon pilots. And offered seperately standing versions. :salute:

Here the one bit of detail that all you modelers have to know. On these small flush vents, on the intake housing, you'll need to cut small triangular strips of styrene 3 in each to detail these areas. They just would not come out right in the casting process. So, it's better to just add them on, it looks much better this way.
Heres a pic of that detail. They will be sanded flush at the ends to smooth out things.

Sandy, here's the deal. I did'nt exactly feel the time was right to begin to answer all the questions and detail out the progress and history of this fighter, because I was still going through so much with Tom and all and getting things in stone.
But, I'm prepared tonight to begin the writing of the why's and what's and how's of this viper model and have something to you by tomorrow. I'll have to split up the building pics as there are many. And most have never been seen on the Fleets or anywhere else. Tons of pics. Give me an idea of what you want the story on this to be like and shoot me an e-mail, I'll take care of it from there.

Hi ya Mike, that Viper is looking awesome. I am getting itchy fingers! I can't wait to see it up close. Does it still look like shipping at the end of the week? That would be cool!! I'm kinda hoping to be the only one down under to have one! I dare say though a few others down here will want one. Will you be keeping the production lines open for a while, or will you just do the one run? Same for the Desanto raider, I would love one, but have recently made a few huge purchases, (27 inch Valdore, 30 inch new Cylon Basestar etc) What other kits do you plan on draining my wallet with??!! Damn the exchange rate!! Cheers, Chris

As Gordon Spcglider would say....."okay you kids, settle down now or I'll turn this thread around!"
The mailing will begin for sure Monday of next week. The reason it's still delayed is because we are in the learning and growing process, which I'm sure Spcglider will let all of you know that being my first kit, it was a huge and often held up learning process and undertaking. But since that mountain has been scaled, all is moving faster and more efficient.
The following is a list of all in order to recieve their Vipers! They are getting set to fly! This is for pre-orders only! All others will be sent following.
1.Cristopher (Aussie Viper)
2.Robert Burns
3.Peter Noble! ;)
4. Christopher (Dobber!)
5.Starship Modeler
6.Barry Lewis
7.Gordon (Spcglider)
8.Tony Augustin
All others on pre-order has also purchased build-up services with lights and full weathering.

2. Kurt...(You know who you are! :D )
3. And Tom DeSanto ( ;) )
