A question for the fans
Just as I'm finnishing up one project for BSG, I had an Idea for another and in do time, you all will understand why I asked what i'm about to ask.
In the Galactica Universe, is there a name for a worm hole or if there isn't, what would you call it if you had to name it something else besides a worm hole? Space tunnel ? cone transporter ?
Lets hear em.
Thanks
OWD

Yes, but that's not Galactica.
I would suggest, simply, "Vortex."
I'll let you know if I think of something else.

Well, if I understand it correctly, it's a singular point in space which has a physical presence in two locations in 'normal' space. Instead of moving through the intervening extradimensional space (commonly referred to as 'hyper' or 'L' space) when interfacing with a wormhole, you are a part of a singularity which simoultaneously exists spatially in two locations, and can enter one and exit the other.
So, how about.... a transdimensional singularity?

Does the worm hole change your sex and values when you come out the other end? Then you could call it a mini...

How about a 'Transdimensional Bridge'.
Bridge being as it has two sides to it, and it would also act as a real time homage to the late Loydd Bridges who imortalised himself in the role of Commander Cain.

I like that one BSG SCI FI Pluse!
The more organic the other worldliness akin to Galalctica the better I think. Cold hard science just doesn't fit BSG. It thrives on the fantasy almost wink wink tougue in cheek aspect.
Just my Opinion.

Void
OWD if you want to be accurate call it a void. There were many voids. I remember a line from Lost Planet of The Gods in which Tigh says, "There are as many ideas as voids in the universe."
