July 17th, 2004, 04:58 PM
Got it? I think.........
Robin Hood (the one with Kevin costner)
This is one of my fave movies :D
The evil sherrif says the above to his cousin right after Robin cuts his cheek in the churh.
Flamingo Girl
July 17th, 2004, 07:40 PM
I have been watching the heck out of this movie lately, so it was inevitable that I would quote it.
The full title is Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
The scene where he tells Robin he will cut his heart out is at a different time from the rest, which is why I seperated it. The second part just makes more sense if you include the initial threat.
I really wish they would release Robin Hood: Men in Tights on DVD.
(My favorite quote from that one being the dig at Costner's awful accent:
Prince John "Why should the people listen to you?"
Robin Hood: "Because unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent".)
Cary Elwes is my favorite Robin Hood.
But Alan Rickman is my favorite Sherriff. ;)
amberstar

This should be easy too........
First guy: She's lost that loving feeling.
Second guy: No, no she hasn't.

Here is one. Two cops are talking in this movie:
1st cop: See how easy that was? Boom, still alive. Now we question him. You know why we question him? Because I got him in the leg. I didn't shoot him full of holes or try to jump off a building with him.
2nd cop: Hey, that's not fair. The building guy lived.

We honor them with every brick we lay...with every field we sow

Its a really good movie, though it starts horribly slow. It was unfortunately drowned out by a clone that was much more of a "extravaganza". But I always liked this movie more it has more heart. If you get past the slow start...its a much better film.IMO

Deep Impact was very good. Morgan Freeman delivered that quote with graceful eloquence. He made a damn good american President!
Deep Impact sufferes from a VERY slow start. All of Vanessa Redgrave scenes should be cut out of the beginning. About half the scenes should be cut before the astronauts take off from earth. Slice redgrave parts. Slash the student auditorium scene. Slash the astronaut buffet and bar scenes.
I got really tired of the dull scenes, so I read on the net how to put the dvd movie on my hard drive. And I cut the boring scenes out. And BOY does the movie get better! Its now much more tense in front. It has a nervous tension it didnt have before.
If you can get through the dull parts, you will find a film which is much more heartfelt than its Armageddon twin. No overbloated star vehicle. You actually see ordinary people facing extraordinary times. And Morgan Freeman is DAMN good in every scene.

It's one of Kevin Smith's better movies. If your not really deep into religion, I'd recommend that you rent it. It's funnier than hell.
Quick rundown:
A couple of fallen Angels want to return too heaven, but the only way to do that is destroy reality
It Stars Ben Affleck
Matt Damon
Chris Rock
Salma Hayek
Linda Fiorentino
Alan Rickman
Kevin Smith
Jason Lee
Jason Mews (sp?)
