Exterminate! The Daleks are back!

Hi all

You may have heard in the news of late that the producers of the new Doctor Who series for the BBC had a dispute with the estate of the late Terry Nation (creator of the Daleks) over the use of the Daleks in the new series, effectively putting a stop to any thought of an appearance in the show.

However, news has emerged of an agreement between the production team and agents for the estate, allowing the two to develop new ideas for the Daleks.

Doctor Who without Daleks would be like Battlestar Galactica without shiney, silver Cylons.



It's great news that they have reached an agreement. I can't wait to see the new episodes. I guess they will hit the U.S. next year sometime. I think the actor they selected will make a good Time Lord. However, I must say that I am not too crazy about the new Doctor's wardrobe. From what I have seen, it consists of black pants, black t-shirt and a black leather jacket. It seens a bit modern for my tastes. It just doesn't say "the Doctor" to me." Oh, well as long as the scripts are clever and it is true to the 30 year legacy of "Doctor Who," I'll be watching!
