Not expecting alot, I went to see The Terminal with Tom Hanks.
And it was GOOD.
At first I was afraid he was duplicating his performance in that movie where he was stranded alone on an island. His performance in that movie was good...but kinda boring. More like watching a guy surviving on an island than watching a movie. And just as boring.
But this time, although he can't speak english, and others can't understand him .. he is surrounded by people who make this a very interesting experience. It starts a little slow, but then when he learns english he creates a wonderful quirky little world all selfcontained within an airport.
This movie is not getting alot of publicity. Spiderman is blowing it out. But if you have seen spidey, and want to see a neat little film that's full of quiet heart, then I have to reccommend this film.
I loved it.
And an additional plus, Catherine Zeta Jones is so incredibly beautiful in this film, She looks so bright-eyed and young that I didn't recognize her. Not that she isn't that normally...but this was even better. She is wonderfully charismatic. All you guys will be going WOW! when you see her.
