I liked it! Despite the limited animation, It was head and shoulders above the normal cartoon series we had on saturday morning.

The designs for the characters were very good. And the writing above par. And it was a pretty faithful recreation of the show.

I also like how Uhura actually was treated like the fifth in command she was suppose to be! They actually let her command a few times. In the original series they would NEVER allow a black woman to command the ship.

Rickyrod -

I know that it made it to VHS format a number of years ago. It would be nice to see those eps again. I remember liking a fair number of them - the only one that immediately jumps to mind is "Beyond the Farthest Star". It was interesting watching Trek without production budget restraints, yet still remain quite faithful to the original series.

The novelizations of the Animated series that written by Alan Dean Foster were a really good follow-up to the episodes. He did an excellent job fleshing out the stories and the characters - I remember reading them voraciously in the mid-70's.

I hope they do make it to DVD - I love revisiting the past....

I agree wholeheartily Darrell (on the rocking)

I actually gave him alot of Bonaventure pics. But I don't recall him wanting more. Though I'm sure he would love it. Kail hangs out alot on Dennis's subspace board. There is a forum called starship Exeter for those who like the old show. Kail and those guys basically do alot of cool art in the style of the animated series.
