Resolution??
I posted the following at the Skiffy Outhouse (oh how I love saying that)...anyway, it was posted. The reason that I'm including it here is that I've finally resolved to let go of the fight against the mini and begin the effort for a TRUE Continuation.
For me, personally, what's passed is history (and HIS story), now it's time to "write" OUR story.

There comes a time when any conflict comes to an end --whether it's a war or one of the many battles that make up a war. This particular episode in time will be no different. There will come a time when the rallying cries from both sides will fall silent and all that remains will be the memories AND the horrors of what had happened, all in the name of a television show.
A television show, one which aired 25 years ago, lasted 1 season but, managed to attach itself to many people, in such a way that they have not been able to let go of it, to this day. I am one of those people. Some may call me a "purist". So be it. The name does not offend me, to some extent it is a good definition. You see, there was something, for me, that was PURE about the Original Series theme and premise. Something that I thought was deserving of being, and would like to see, continued and expanded upon. That feeling will NEVER change. No arguments, to the contrary, will sway my feelings. So, please don't try. Just as it's not worth my effort to try to convince you of the merits of the Original Series, it's not worth your effort to try to convince me of the merits of the mini-series.
I have stated, in previous posts, both here and elsewhere the reasons for my feelings and for my decision NOT to watch the mini-series. They are available in this forum, in the BSG archives (previous Sci-Fi forum) and on other BSG websites.
Just as I have decided not to watch it, if you have made up your mind that the mini-series will provide you with good entertainment then, by all means, more power to you. I will leave you with one final thought -- the hope that, for you, it lives up to your expectations.

Good Post!
(Skiffy out house, I like that too.)I saw your post over there and commented on it.
I think you speak with wisdom. It is time to put this behiend us, and focus on what is important. Our story, our BSG, hopefully with the help of DeSanto, Larson, and Hatch this will become a reality. The fight is not over for what we believe in.

The term "Skiffy" refers to the SciFi channel... Just a BSG slang thing!

Oh. :o Thanks. I heard from a friend that the SciFi Channel BB's are rather unfriendly towards those of us who are fans of the original BSG series. I've never visited the place.

There not all bad people over there.
There some good people just like any other neighborhood. You just have to get pass the thugs to get to them. And as for the BSG moderators yes they do seem to censor a lot especaily anything bad about the new mini.
Only BSG, Tremors and Scare Tactics have moderators. The other boards at Skiffy are unmoderated and tend to get overun by clones and trolls from time to time. Their are many youngsters there and they tend to get rude from time to time.
But again they have good people as well. Its a real hit and miss over there. Post at your own risk.
