Default The Oldest Planet?

Hey folks,

Just stumbled upon this and wanted to share it with you --

http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/2003/19/

It's really turning the 'known theories" about how life began on their collective ear -- to think that life could have existed so long ago, ...

somewhere across the heavens...

Somewhere across the heavens I believe that other life does exist. Our space program is still in its infancy.
Great links, thanks.

I believe that life exists elsewhere in the universe
too. I just don't believe that life exists in this
galaxy unless they're as LIMITED in technology as
we are.

That is so sad too. I always feel like I was meant for something more than being on this planet....hmmmm....I was probably put here by mistake...I think everyone that has a hankering for space and sci-fi....is meant to be elsewhere......somewhere out there is a place for us that understands us......*sigh*

Look at it this way- the universe is based on cyclical patterns which are basically identical as to process and progression and differing in scale and scope. The presence of life in the universe could be an immense cycle where over time, it varies from abundant to scarce. Systemic progressions like this have a tendency to a certain uniformity, through what means science does not yet wholly understand. This argues against the possibility of our planet's condition being in any way unique or an exception to the various natural formative processes seen everywhere.

We have to rememebr, as well, that the data we are recieveing from these places is extremely old. Anyone out there looking back may see anythign from a global ice age to an unformed molten planetoid.

Just because we look and don't see life just like ours, it doen't mean it isn't there. We're just in the center of a cycle looking at the beginnings of others'. It could very well be mutual.
