LOL Sci Fi on SciFi!!

Did anybody else notice?

It was last night.

It was probably an abberration, a momentary lapse on thier part.

There was science fiction on the SciFi Channel.

Granted, it wasn't GOOD science fiction (Battlefield Earth = :upchuck: ), but it was science fiction.

Unusual.....

hehehehe Dawg

It had to be a mistake. Why would Broomstick Bonnie allow Science Fiction to be run on the SciFi Channel.

Maybe someone lost the reels with Tremors 2.5, or the latest hack and slash horror film, and tried to sneak some scifi thing passed...

Geez, and Folks wonder why we have no confidence in Hammer, MooreRon, and Eicky.....

Well, thankfully, I've got SciFi blocked on my cable box now, so unless I get word that Hammer, Mooreron, and Eicky are all soundly fired and removed from SciFi, I won't have to be bothered with their drivelous nonsense.

Default "Battlefield" sequel...

Yes, John Travolta still wants to make a sequel to that first film, although it won't be as lavishly produced and it probably won't involve much of the same production people. The problem is, Travolta's career and his clout in Hollywood seems to be taking a nosedive...his last few pictures tanked, and his current one "Basic" is getting lower box-office numbers than "The Core" is. So I wouldn't look for that sequel anytime soon - if it comes out, it'll probably be a very-cheaply produced, straight-to-video release like the upcoming "Starship Troopers" sequel.

I was shocked over the weekend that the scifi channel did show scifi programs more than once. Besides Battlefield Earth, they had Red Planet and ST:Generations. It must have been a mistake.

Default Travolta

His career fis a cycle...up, down, up, down...it'll come back up; he's too young to be a has been and too established to go away.

On the subject, Travolta would have made an "interesting" Baltar in a continuation...

Default A religion started by a Scifi author, go figure?

Travolta is a member of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard founded Scientology, it is a bit contrivesial religion. I don't know much about it, but I remember that Hubbard's Battlefield Earth is 1066* pages long.

John Travolta fresh from 'Pulp Fiction', got it made, Battlestar Galactica should have such luck.

*The Battle of Hastings was in 1066, I never read Battlefied Earth or watched the movie.
