I think Michael has been abducted
Hopefully they don't do horific things to him like "Fire in the Sky."
Maybe they'll just pop in an implant and send him on his way fairly soon.

I get the impression he's just been unrealistically busy. I'll check.

He's incredibly busy with all sorts of things.
He does have a life removed from BSG you know!

Hope you're right
I do feel he may have regreted saying some of the things that he did on the boards. I don't fault him though, he was just doing it for the benefit of the fans.
I'm really hoping that he's staying quite for a good reason.

I hope he comes back with news that the production has been and :bash: and that we are getting something we can call BSG.

No, I just got a note saying 'Thanks, I'll probably check in in about a week'. (I think that's exact.) That's all.
If this keeps up, he may be elected president in absentia.... lol.

Hi everyone,
It seems that my presence is being missed on the bboards. My sincere thanks to those whom have written me directly. I apologize for not writing back. I've been exceptionally busy with private matters over the past couple of weeks -- and will continue to be for the unforeseeable future. Delving into recent BG news/information has been at the very bottom of the list for me.
I would like to share some joyous news, though: My wife and I are expecting again!
About this nomination I'm hearing about on Colonial Fleets:
I'd like my vote -- and all of those votes placed for me -- to go directly to O.W.D. And if not O.W.D., then Jaeson Jrakman. I will do/support what I can from the BattlestarGalactica.com and BattlestarPegasus.com fronts. I just don't have the time to preside over the bigger revival effort/leadership position right now. I have some special projects in the works, ranging from Galacticon 2003 to other very special projects which I need more time to focus on. Our BG will live on, in a sense; that's my goal. (Heck, I've been keeping this on the backburners for almost 3 years.) I'm praying these projects of mine will be done by the end of October 2003.
On the "Battlestar" remake front:
My sources on all fronts have been exceptionally quiet. No one (whom I normally talk with) seems to be hearing anything specific about this "Battlestar Galactica" remake production. No one fathoms why there's so much silence over this production right now. It's been said more than once that some folks with the production want to rub it in the faces of some fans, to say "we're doing it, your time is over." (Why that attitude exists is sad, considering this is the supposed fanbase whom they want to win over.)
Half of my contacts feel the production is underway; half of them feel it's hit a brick wall. One person felt test footage was being filmed to "convince" Universal (not SCI-FI). That doesn't make sense. If a green-light existed, why would anyone need convincing?
Personally, I'd like to know why we haven't seen any further public updates on the remake.
There's the argument that the production team is busy/focused. (That's acceptable.) However, Ronald D. Moore went out of his way to deliver a sermon to the fans (via scifi.com's BG bboard) a couple of nights before filming began. It's been said that the fanbase never puts a positive spin on the news. (That's a poor excuse, in my opinion.) It's been said that we'll be treated to unprecedented amounts of information from the set. (We're still waiting...)
For now, I have nothing to share. As one person put it, it's probably a good thing. Official information needs to be released. I've heard "mid-May." I'll believe it when I see it.
Michael
:colwar:
P.S. the3rdHuman: The implant is working fine. Unfortunately, some Cylon babe keeps propositioning me... It gets kinda kinky with my wife around. (g)

Good to hear that you are alive and well
You may want to contact Stanton Friedman if thet implant gives you any trouble!
May your next child be healthy and labor to go swiftly. Our first took over 43 hours from first real contraction to delivery. Could be a North American record!

Thanks, Shawn is my best idea for our 'go to guy', OWD has the respect of everybody, plus unlike guys like MOI & Scooter, OWD gets along with everybody.
On the REMAKE front, no Baltar, Tigh or Boomer have been cast to the best of my knowledge, the Kelly Hu data was incorrect.
Nice to see that planet Earth's gene pool is receiving a boost Michael, Godspeed

Congrats to you and your lady, Michael! I hope all goes very well for you both and the new bambino.
On the production: still hoping in the silence. Have a hard time giving up hope: learned it from folks like Apollo, Boomer, Sheba, Starbuck, Adama, and a few hundred other historical figures (real and fictional). Miracles can happen. They often do.

That's AWESOME NEWS Michael.
And thanks for thinking of me in this Election.
dvo, thank you too. It's really nice to be thought of but I will always think of every Battlestar Galactica fan as equal with equal power because all of us together, are what makes all of us strong. We proved it before and we will prove it again.
No mater where I end up. Be it on the council in what ever position or off , I will always believe that the majority of the Battlestar Galactica fans come first.
