Stargate The Waste of Waste

Any of us who have spent any time at all in a hospital are familiar with the odd ritual of I's and O's -- patient Intake and Output. They carefully measure what you take in and (grossly) measure what you put out. The funny thing is, it seems like your "output" is almost equal to what you took in (all except 2 tablespoons, as the Crisco commercial goes ). Why is that? According to scientists, we've had millions of years of evolution and still nearly everything we eat and drink goes out as waste. (For you creationists like me, that puts God on the spot as well). What a waste!

When you have something vital and precious, such as a resource of food or water, shouldn't it be used to its fullest? And when you have a potential blockbuster like Battlestar Galactica, ought we not make the fullest use of its potential? I can see, and I know you can see too, a stunning continuation series, an awe-inspiring big screen movie, spin-offs and sequels and merchandising -- and so much more.

Throwing that all away on something nearly universally unappealing is a waste that should never happen. PTB, use it to its fullest. Create the wonder you know it could be -- not this.

Some chances come only once in a lifetime. A dream is a terrible thing to waste.

Affectionately and respectfully,
Muffit

Default A Muffit Moment..

What a nice way to close out the work week.

Muffit, I truly enjoy reading your stories. They are very thought-provoking and you have a very unique way of tying a rather common item or occurrence into a meaningful parallel for BSG.
