From cugel at Sci-Fi: Galactica Mass visualization exercise
Date: 01/18/2003
From: cugel
We will be holding the first Galactica Mass visualization exercise sunday night at 8:00 P.M. eastern time. Remember that time from long ago? The exercise will last 7 minutes and we will all hold a firmly fixed image of the return of our beloved show just as we want it. Focus on our old cast, our original stu phillips music and most of all the immense feeling of pleasure, satisfaction and grattitude that Galactica is back just as we wanted it. The feeling is the most powerful aspect of the exercise. Truly BE in a state of joy that Galactica has returned. The impersonal nature of the universe does not distinguish between a thought and the thing itself. It simply cooperates with the conscious intent we firmly impress upon its' quantum field and forms for us that thing we have manifested as co-creators with it.WE WILL SUCCEED! This is a universal law.

This sort of concept makes no sense or logic to me, so yes I am a skeptic on this matter, but for those of you who do then please join in.

I've been a proponent of visualization for a long time. Whether or not there is a quantifiable effect on the universe is a fact that remains to be documented, however, I do know that it has a profound effect. It imprints a pattern of possibility on the instrument capable of most easily changing the universe- the brain. Any endeavor begins with belief. If it is believed to be possible, vast amounts of energy and resource from the brain are available. If if is believed, consciously or subconsciously, to be impossible, a person will create their own obstacles.
I have also seen some pretty interesting "inexplicable" effects.
Count me in.

In some regards, I'm skeptical, but it parallels something from my older-fashioned paradigm which I know does work quite well, quite often: prayer. And in Christendom, lots of people praying the same thing, same time constitutes a prayer meeting.
And since I'm of the opinion there are powers higher than TPTB, I'll just join you all in praying at 8pm on Sunday (it can be a visual thing too) and we'll see what all the visualizing and praying can do. And anybody else that wants to pray: you got a partner.

If TPTB are watching?
They are going to think that you are all of your rockers.
Good luck anyway.

Well...
...It is a form of prayer. You know the whole thing about when two or three are gathered etc. I first got inspired by the Art Bell show when Art held these kinds of mass energy focusing visualizations to bring healing to some ailing people like Danion Brinkely. It worked. Thanks for pasting this Scooter.

I am proud to be off my rocker. Who wants to sit and rock when you can dance?

And Why not try this? As my Old Jewish Grandfather used to say: "It couldn't hoit!"

No, I was off the rocker earlier this week....I had this incident with missing the rocker seat in the dark while trying to calm my kid. (Uncontrolled falls while you are holding the toddler DO NOT calm them down, btw.) Seat missed rocker, cheekbone did not, the shiner is still quite a colorful temporary, um, "fashion accent" and I got new frames for my glasses. (did I mention my bro.'s wedding is in 6 days?) So, I'll be sitting on the floor well away from any rockers for a while, thanks. (Oh, the kid of course was unhurt, only scared. They are made of rubber).
And I laugh about TPTB a lot anyway. I think they should do an ep. of Fear Factor "starring" major entertainment execs. A little reality might be interesting for them. Good change from the Nielsens.
Agree w/ Cugel's grandfather "It couldn't hoit."

I think TPTB ALREADY think that, or else we'd have a continuation version already being made.

Ok Cosmic Cleric, good point
This will give them another reason to think that we are off our rocker.

I just sold my rocker - does that mean I'm off it?
