Something to consider...
(This is not directly personally at anyone on this bboard, nor intended as a flame war, just a personal view of recent events. It is a general topic which addresses the "sudden" appearances of support for the Battlestar Galactica remake... support which contradicts e-mails received at BattlestarGalactica.com and BattlestarPegasus.com blasting the remake concept; snail mails received at Universal, as I've been told; and postings over time, esp. after the leakage info. on filmjerk.com.)
2 April 2002.
SCI-FI Channel announces plans for their "re-imagining" of "Battlestar Galactica." David Eick and Ronald D. Moore are attached to the project.
Tom DeSanto finds out, like the rest of Battlestar Galactica fans, that he's no longer attached to the project by virtue of this news.
Eight months pass by.
Suddenly, the casting information leaks, via two http://www.filmjerk.com articles, dated 2.Dec.02 and 8.Dec.02, happen. Fans of "Battlestar Galactica," particularly on the scifi.com bboard, unite as never before, finding faults/issues with the planned production. (Not everyone, but most everyone -- something unseen before now.)
Suddenly, I find myself with a copy of the script.
And suddenly, after a few days of numerous fans speaking against the remake, including many were vocally FOR it before the filmjerk.com leaks... there appears a few new handles who promote/support the remake.
AND WHERE WERE THESE PEOPLE DURING THE PAST EIGHT MONTHS?
Michael

Probably over posting against the Farscapers while they fight sci fi for their show.
Which I might add is a great show and sci fi goofed up by yanking it off before the season was finished.
Gee, their are over 100 on Ron's petition and most of them signed because of Moore and not Galactica. So most of his supporters are non Galactica fans and there is all these changes in his new version, why not change the rest of it, including the name?
We had 7000 on our petition in just one week and we are now very close to 16000. Looking at that, TPTB should know what the fans want.

I'm not a big fan of conspiracy theories, but this sure looks like a conspiracy!
The truth is out there, as someone once said

they were just out there but probably not interested enough to post. that scifi board is pretty ugly. You have to feel pretty motivated if you wanna join that fracas. Spicey news may be enough of a motivation.

Hello Ronnie we do not need to import newbies
All the news on Battlestar Galactica of late has come from a synopsis from www.filmjerks.com, RDM maybe in trouble, swimming against the current, so lets toss him an anvil!
What to do, post at filmjerks.com largest Forum, why yes it is, The Battlestar Galactica one! http://forum.filmjerk.com/viewtopic.php?t=6
Havens has been looking at our sites I emailed him to leave Scifi’s BSG Forum for CF. I am sorry to report he got the Languatron treatment, but hello, he is interested. BSG put his site on the map and BSG has caused it, far and away the most hits and posts.
dvo47p: Help Havens of filmjerk.com see the light, he has run into that damn Languatron. Lets post on his site, ok
Btw: Anyone notice the StarTrek/Roswell fans posting on all of the Battlestar Galactica bboards lately, not so much here but all over the internet? Sort of scheme thing by oh ya reckon Ron D. Moore?

I noticed that many of the new handles appeared after filmjerk posted the article quoting Languatron. Many of them could be readers of filmjerk's site and came over to see what the whole thing was about. That is what i think is happening.
