Casting Poll: Baltar
You know the drill... hopefully this gets a few more votes then 4.
You can vote for multiple picks, per request.

Re: Casting Poll: Baltar
You know, after looking at the people in the poll, I voted for Malcolm McDowell. I didn't wanna vote for James Callis cause he's done Baltar before. Why should I vote for him to play the TOS version? That one made no sense to me. Ian McShane, Hugh Laurie, James Spader, and Gary Oldman were also possible votes for me. If I had a second choice, I would've voted for Gary Oldman. But I got to thinking about this one, and I voted for Malcolm McDowell.

Re: Casting Poll: Baltar
Yeah, for me it was between those two as well, but I ended up choosing Gary Oldman. They both really play good baddies! But I would be happy with Malcolm as well!
As for Callis, I don't blame him for the role he played. He is a good actor and would probably do well. I left him in because some one did nominate him, and he could probably do a good job if given the role. He would not be my first choice by a long shot though.

Re: Casting Poll: Baltar
I voted for Gary Oldman, too. His played a good "baddie" role in Air Force One.

Though I have no idea what Ian Mcshane would be like as a new Baltar, he just seems to look the part...But I have trouble getting John Callicos out of my head..

Baltar: Ian McShane
I did consider Gary Oldman and Malcolm McDowell. All very good actors, but I choose Mr. McShane. He has the look for Baltar. Non-threatening and oily.
Just a note: He portrayed a very convincing Judas Iscariot in the 1977 TV Miniseries "Jesus of Nazareth".

Re: Casting Poll: Baltar
I am standing by Ian McKellen, as I see him playing Baltar in much the way he portrayed Richard III in the 1995 movie by the same name.

I already have a suggestion for Starbuck now. If I may Malkyte?
Josh Holloway who portrays James "Sawyer" Ford in the TV Series "Lost".
As Sawyer, he's a bit of a con-man, opportunist, rogue, womanizer and a "snake" (what a certain female Bridge Officer referred to Starbuck as. ).
Yet he is loyal to his friends and also has a certain charm about him.
I believe he has what it takes to pull off a very convincing Starbuck.
Just my .02 cubits
