Whoa, JJ! I never knew it got nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Drama. That had to be one of the few times a sci-fi series was so recognized.

A sad statement too that science-fiction and fantasy does not get more serious nods.

I think probably the most noteworthy nods sci-fi has also gotten was Sigourney Weaver's nomination for Best Actress in the Oscars for ALIENS. (Although some would say that it was simply because they didn't have enough nominees that year.)
Of course Lord of the Rings: Return of the King seemed to do well at the Oscars a few years ago too.

Glad to hear that BSG got an Emmy and some GGs.
