BSG Memorabilia needs your help
I grabbed this off the Yahoo BSG-Theme list. Thought some of the experts here might be able to help.

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone could help me idea a spaceship prop. I have
been sent a few photos taken on the Universal Studios backlot by a guy
who worked on the BSG ride. He thinks the shots are of a prop ship used
in BSG, but I can't identify it.
I have put the image here, if any fancies taking a look.

He also gave me some other shots of the ride which are now on my site:

Cheers

John -
I wanna say from the cockpit design that it's the Sixth Millenium Shuttle from "The Long Patrol". I'm not 100 percent sure, but I remember when Starbuck took off in it, the window configuration and profile looked the same. Maybe someone could take a look at the DVD footage to check it out.
That's my guess....

Bryan, you're thinking of Robber's ship? That's the only full size prop I can think of that looked like this at all too. Door on the side reminds me of when Robber reached back into the cargo area and popped out that case of vintage ambrosa.

galactica memorabilia
The photos from the Galactica ride were WAAAAY cool. I didn't go to Universal until 1985, the last year for the ride. By that time a lot of the "stuff" was gone.
However, the photo of the cake decorating thing was pretty scary!

That's exactly what it is - which explains why the bottom front is mistaken as being that of a boat. It might have been made originally for another movie like "Tora! Tora! Tora!" or an even earlier film, as I doubt they could afford to have purchased and cut up a full Catalina or built the prop from scratch materials.

There is a clip of the ride in The Naked Gun. I kow that you can find it on line. You actually see Don Adams running through the ride.
