TOS begins tonight
Well tonight is the start of the old series on the Space Channel here in Canada.
This is going to be good . . .
I haven't seen BSG old series since the 70's so there is a lot of interest in seeing it again (for the first time) in a VERY long while.
I know this is old hat for some of you I know you have seen all of the eps, a few dozen times. Sort of like me with Star Trek, but BSG the second time around is going to be a bit more interesting after hanging out on this board with you all for my short time . . . .
well here we go . . see ya on the flip side.

Santee -
I watched "Saga" on Sunday and Monday nights, I guess that I'll save "Lost Planet of the Gods" until you lovely folks in Canada catch up...
Happy viewing!

Fresh reviews, folks... fresh reviews.
...and when reviewing, please remember that this show didn't (as in DID NOT) promote itself as the greatest thing since God created woman or promote itself as re-inventing the genre, etc etc

I got my 3rd set of the DVD’s today from Amazon. I think I’ll skip Babylon 5 tonight and view the oft and unfairly maligned Greetings from Earth.

So they aired part one of the Pilot last night, The wife and I pulled up the covers and munched on a bowl of buttered pop-corn.
I was surprised at how much I rememberd the opning show from the 70's. And how good it still was. There was plenty of Drama and the dialog seemed typical of the era, but very entertaining. I almost forgot this program was 30yrs old.
I can't say the SPFX thrilled me, but I found myself being reminded that this was cutting edge 30 years ago, and still it was jammed packed with action.
I can see where TNS opener is similar to TOS, certain "events" remained constant, but the thread of the story is different. A lot of the "meat" was cut in TNS.
I could go into detail and say how TNS left out the Stuborn arrogance of the Colony President, which lead to the Tactical disaster, but you all know that . .
Yep these items were definately missed in TNS, I can see where it gave an entirely new out-look on the characters involved.
Well . . that was the first part of Part one . . . as the series plays I can see a bit more and hopefully remember how it use to be.
