It'll take a case of Gunness and three repeat viewings of Spaceball.
You'll either be begging for mercy or keep on pressing your watch in the hope of becoming invisible!

Thanks Steve, I'm not as pleased with it as my last effort but my muse was wanting to be indulged, so I thought what the hell.

There are worse things to be fans of than G80.
It would be hard to even know where to start on the list of worsts....
I liked the premise, (Heck, I wanted to BE Jaime, if it would have meant meeting the real Starbuck and Apollo. No, I haven't forgiven GL for stranding Starbuck or killing off Apollo with a line of dialog. Meh.) It would be cool to interact with a technologically advanced culture from another planet system, if they were as benevolent as the Colonials desired to be.

In a scene at Troy's locker, with Dillon, he has a picture with he original cast & mentions something about his father being killed & it really jiggled Adama's chips. Starbuck was stranded on a planet in the episode 'Return of Starbuck'.

hee... thanks, jewels. You saying that reminded me of when "we" (me and my little friends way back when) just replaced Troy and Dillon with A & S after each episode and it was much better that way. And then after "The Return of Starbuck" aired, "we" (the band of little 12 year olds) decided that Apollo and Starbuck just got to Earth before the fleet and Troy and Dillon just hadn't found them yet (or the other way around ) Ah, what cute memories... I wonder if we wrote any of those "stories" down....
And just for the record, my personal idea for the continuation would have actually included G80. I liked the idea of TRoS so much (In my mind, Starbuck wasn't "stranded". He had a bright, shinny, new Cylon fighter just waiting for him to take. ) , I always wanted to use that story, so that kind of forces you to accept the rest of the show. Which is not necessarily a bad thing if done right.
later...
