I dont know why, but something about it I like.

maybe nostalgia. Reminds of miniatures or claymation or stop motion.

Most people expect what they see on TV and from hollywood and
will base their opine on that. Dont listen to them.( if you happen to share it
on public or open forums) most do not have a clue what is involved.

Whatever your level, skill or app that was great. not perfect, not real,
but is what it is.

Still I liked it- <<<is this guy for real?

Art is art, no matter what it's like. But to not expect critiqueing is beyond comprehension. The animation was fine. No it's not hollywood style and the vipers need work but again no one would every say it's bad here. Taranis has been one of the best people to encourage here. I've never seen him put anybody's work down. Careful who you call out.

I like it too. I think what feels "off" is probably just a matter of the depth perception/perspective needs augmented a little. The vipers were flying directly at the ships with our POV directly behind them so it seemed like the hovered "on" the ships before dodging out of their way. Usually if we see this POV we are shown it from inside a cockpit so we understand there is fly around distance between us and the capital ships.

I thought it was interesting. The landing looked good and I liked the ships' scaling in that, though I'm not close to having scales figured out for shuttles vs. vipers.

My mistake on wording my reply. And was misinterpreted.

hey I was not refering to you, sorry, but on other forums and such.

Have had a spate of replies on general Gfx forums where most do not even read the post, text, thread, title.

1 even said the the textures and polys? looked like a game from Win 95...(in reference to BOA)
they were DOs not Win 95 I got wall full of old DOS games and no way in hell can they be similar.
another,
on the cylon's cant dance-- Why did you even post this, where is the dance animation?

I am really sorry Mr. TARANIS , it was not meant that way.or in reference to you at all. It just bites my butt of late all the crap
replies many offer up in general on posts, expecting HQ stuff from anyone. I was just offering him some advice when it/if it occurs.

You did not put it down, so you are good. I did not take it as a put down either. So, we good?
Was not in reference to Colonial FLeets either, MY sincere apologies for not being lil more clearer

Apology accepted.
I read it as a rebuke to my post.

ah with a few simple words whole sentence changes.

I agreed with your statement regarding how people see the work. not many people realize the amount of time goes into animation. Nor how much time goes into modeling in cgi.

etc

The reason I like to know the program is I am looking for help in a few months for a fan film. it won´t be Hollywood either, but it will be a big effort. the more people I can find with the same programs the quicker the production is go.

anyway this is behind us Queenhunter.
