Your mothersday freebie
Mother or not, here is my gift to you. Those of you who have already seen my new series Viper Mk2 model know what I am talking about. I made the LW mesh available for download at my website:
http://www.cosmic-pearl.com/3dLW63.htm
You're welcome and enjoy. I know all of you who may be interested are 3D artists and won't need (or get) any additional hand holding from me. For example, I provide just one copy of each decal. Obviously, you will need to horizontally flip them and resave them for the opposite side of the fighter. Easy enough?
Enjoy, and you are surely welcome,
Karl

You may not be the only one, Steve. Maybe you can convert it to some other popular format (s).

I had a filter that converted SW to LW but the files were huge and nothing came of it. Too bad 3D pgms can't just be imported from one to another. SW is the one I must use if I am to make a living

I understand, Steve. Luckily, LW can open some MAX files. Still, too bad some formats are totally proprietary or so unique that they can't be converted.

This is for everyone who already downloaded the file. I just went over it with a fine-toothed comb and tried to eliminate all of the niggling little annoyances, such as asking for files that are either not included or not necessary. Rubber surface is a LW preset, Gold and Silver reflections are part of your LW, so find them in your LW files.
The file was reposted just now - 8 May 05.

Thanks, and speaking of which (your quotations), on the same Downloads page you will also find the mesh of the classic series Viper.

Oh, one more thought.
Julix, this is for you:
You can now make your own imagery with the mesh(es) for the Denver show.

Oh, and julix doesn't use Lightwave (or any other 3D app) that I know of

My bad.
Thanks for clearing that up. I guess he'll just have to use our (those of us who use various digital or conventional artisitic media) images for his convention. His talents obviously lie elsewhere.

You're welcome Taranis.
I also have some tutorials on my website, and links to other tute collections. Hang in there and before you know it you'll be sharing your models too.

That's very sweet, Breea, you flatterer
But truth be told, it's the wallpaper of choice on my PC right now, and I am not at all tired of it, even though I spent so much time building it.
We're talking about this one, right? Anyway, that's the one I mean.

Talk Julix into making it the show poster, and we all can get one for the wall.
I'll provide a high-res render, and she can set it inside the poster with the Convention logo and info below. Just a thought.
