Ja, I suppose that in the televised series Starbuck got away with it.
As for who in the new series could play potential new gen roles or even replacement roles, well...we can all agree to disagree. We all see what we want to see.

I never put too much stock in the novelizations as far as learning more about the characters go because they are just way too far afield from the episodes as they were broadcast.
Seeing a decently written Galactica story in published book form is alas something that has never happened from my standpoint.

Hi, Julix,
I simply meant that some of us see the good in something as we are want to...and others see differently, as they are want to. Nothing bad meant by it.
You do not see the acting abilities of Katee Sackhoff or Tricia Helfer. I do. 
You do not want to see Katee as Sheba, or Tricia as Cass.
I do, under ideal circumstances. But the circumstances for Galactica fandom as a whole are far less than ideal, sadly.
Not that it would ever happen. What I mentioned was actually an opinion offered up by someone else in this thread, long before I jumped in.
In the end, it is all opinions, dear friend.

Ah now there are possibilities. I saw kelly in X-Men 2 as lady Deathstrike. They seemed to kill her off quickly. From what I recall, wasn't she married to Wolverine? |

I know that somewhere along the way she had some kind of close relationship with Wolverine, but I don't remember if they were married.
However, it does seem to be the way in comic-to-movie translations that somehow the bad guys get "killed off" instead of "Drat's foiled again." Pretty soon, Xmen may run out of bad guys. Just like the Batman and Spiderman movies.
