I am suggesting a new category for Colonial Fleets. I would like to know when other programs that the actors have been in will be airing on TV in the coming week. I don't want to do this all myself and am suggesting that each of you participate.
I already list the reruns of episodes in which Richard guests on a Yahoo discussion group, and I can easily put that same information about him here. Unfortunately, except for The Waltons, MacGyver and Baywatch, almost all of the umpteem series in which he made guest appearances are now out of circulation.
To give you an example of what I mean, I compile a list every week for an Everwood group. This is what I post Sunday mornings:

Dear Julie and everybody else,
There are probably several ways to research what's coming up on TV, but this is the way I do it. It took me awhile to compile all this information but now I can go through all the schedules very quickly. It involves a bit of cross-referencing.
I start with www.imdb.com and found an actor's name and then printed out his/her listings of all the TV shows and movies he/she had been in. Then I go to the Internet and look up the various channel websites and look at their schedules. What's nice is that an actor's imdb listing includes the title of the episode and so do the various channel listings.
To get you started, here is a list you can print out of all of the cable channels that I know about (these aren't the basic networks or the premium channels):

So now that you know the movies and TV episodes a person's been in, you just have to look at the schedule to see when they will be airing.
As for the regular networks and the premium cable channels, I just look through the TV schedule when it comes in the Saturday or Sunday newspaper (TV Guide works too).
I know that there's a website called zap2it, which I haven't looked at. But that just lists starring roles in movies or TV series, not bit parts or one-time guest appearances.

This is my first list of actors' other roles for the week. I just went through the TV schedule and looked through the movie listings. I'm not going to do a more detailed listing like I've done for Richard Hatch or for the Everwood actors because I don't have time.
So I'm presenting a challenge to the rest of you. As I've said, if I find any Richard listings, I'll be sure to post them. But perhaps the rest of you would like to go through your various TV schedules and websites to discover when your personal faves are appearing. I'm specifically thinking of TracyB for Dirk Benedict and EasternSkyWatcher for Sarah Rush. Also, Ian, could you tell us exactly when and where Streets of San Francisco is airing in England? In other words, this list doesn't just apply to US viewers.

I am giving up on watching "Kingdom Hospital." I really like Ed Begley Jr., and I adore Bruce Davison and will watch almost anything he's in, but I do not like "Kingdom Hospital." It's the most physically ugly show I have ever watched, absolutely no one in the series is likeable, and worst of all, it's just boring!
Normally Stephen King movies and TV shows are creepy but funny and everyone, even the bad guys, are charming. This show has no appealing characteristics at all.
What did the rest of you think?

Thanks for compiling this list. Unfortunaley, due to my recent schedule, I've missed all of them EXCEPT for Tricia Helfer. Speaking of her, I recently saw in the paper that she was playing one of the stars (Farrah Fawcett, I think) in the Charlie's Angels telemovie that was recently broadcast. Of course, I said "I think" because I didn't watch it either!

These two programs are only somewhat related, but one of them I really recommend!
1. Diagnosis Murder, with father and son team Dick and Barry Van Dyke, airs weeknights at 10 p.m. eastern time on Pax.
2. The new season of "An American Family," with Edward James Olmos, has started on PBS. This program is very well-done, and I think many of you will enjoy it. However, I've watched the program since it began, and even I find it confusing at times! It's a soap opera, but not like any you've ever watched before. There are lots of ghosts and flashbacks and cyclical, almost reaching-across-time storylines, so you can't watch just one episode. You'll have to view two or three of them to get the feel of what's going on.
You'll need to check your local PBS listings to see when it airs.

Randolph Mantooth who played Michael on two episodes of TOS Galactica has been known to sub for the actor playing Hal on the soap As the World Turns. He does a wonderful job.

I caught the tail end of a program on PBS tonight called "Magic Moments: The Best of 50s Pop." What got my attention was that the group performing at the moment I stopped channel surfing was the Four Preps, with Glen Larson. He was sporting a very long ponytail, which made me laugh.
The copyright date at the end of the program was 2004, so it was a new program. Since different PBS stations air their programming at different times, you will just have to check your TV schedule to see when it will air again.

The film he is working on is "Earthquake" and there is a brief but amusing shot of an actor playing Lorne Greene. (Yes, I know the date is wrong in the episode. "Earthquake" was released in 1974.)

I watched the episode of Highway to Heaven entitled "The Smile in the Third Row," with guest star Lorne Greene. I think it was one of his last appearances. It was a very different sort of role for him. Normally his characters were always very self-assured, even a little intimidating, but his character of Fred was of someone who was not only ill, but a little dreamy and airheaded. What did the rest of you think?

Cannell creation ran on NBC from 1976-78, starring Robert Conrad as Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington (a real-life WW2 air ace in the U.S. Marines Corp, and a Medal of Honor awardee), and based on Boyington's autobiography. The show also included in the cast an early-in-his-career John Larroquette, about a decade before he would win 4 Emmy Awards in a row for playing "Dan Fielding" on Night Court!

On May 24th our prediction comes true: Universal has given us the heads-up this morning that they are releasing Baa Baa Black Sheep - Volume 1 on that date, in a 2-DVD set that runs 584 minutes. Presentation is exactly what you would expect: full frame video and English mono sound.

That "Volume 1 " in the title speaks volumes, though (forgive the pun), especially when tied in with the just-under-10-hour running time! The series had a 2-hour (with commercials) pilot telefilm called The Flying Misfits, and then 22 more hour-long episodes in the first season, and followed by 13 more episodes under the Black Sheep Squadron title for the second season. It looks like Universal intends to break their DVD boxes for this show up into "Volume" sets rather than "Season" sets, possibly to make the cost per set more palatable for retailers who cater to the mass market. $39.98 is the list price for this 2-disc package.

No further details are available just yet, nor is cover art. Stay tuned, though...we'll be keeping a sharp eye on this, and will bring more to you as soon as possible!

Mary -

I have an episode of a TV show that has 2 Battlestar Galactica artists in it, but it won't show up as the show isn't in syndication anymore.

I had bought a DVD-R of a few episode of The Bionic Woman (I love Lindsay Wagner) and one of the episodes was a first season episode "Mirror Image". This is the episode where a woman named Lisa Galloway has been surgically altered to impersonate Jaime Sommers.

I was surprised to see both Herbert Jefferson Jr. and John Fink in the episode, which pre-dates Battlestar Galactica by 2 years or so. We all know Herbert Jefferson Jr. as Boomer, but John Fink had only one appearance in BSG and that was in "Saga of a Star World" as Doctor Paye. He was the doctor that healed Cassiopia's broken arm.

I know that The Bionic Woman is supposed to finally get put on DVD eventually. I for one, can't wait to see the rest of the episodes when it doesn.

I caught the last few minutes of an episode of Happy Days this morning and saw Laurette Spang in the show. I never realized that she was in the three-parter entitled "Hollywood" (I just looked it up on the IMDB), which is better known as the infamous "Jump the Shark" episode.
The last scene said "to be continued" so she will be on the show again tomorrow. You will want to tune in to WGN at 8 a.m. US Eastern time on Tuesday, June 28.

Universal's Trio network will be replaced by Sleuth on Jan. 1, which will tap the studio's archives for Miami Vice and other classics.
Sleuth debuts New Year's Day with the pilots for The A-Team (6 a.m. US Eastern), Knight Rider (7 a.m.), Simon & Simon (8 a.m.), Karen Sisco (9 a.m.) and Homicide: Life on the Streets (10 a.m.)

I haven't a clue as to who or what Karen Sisco is.

I was also wondering if any of you have found a link on the Internet for its schedule. I suspect that a lot of Galactica people are showing up on its programming.
I don't have digital cable or a satellite dish, so I don't get that channel.

The Dirk Benedict movie Body Slam is being shown on WBQC, Channel 38, the Cincinnati UPN affiliate, on Saturday, April 8, at 2 p.m. Perhaps this movie is making the rounds of syndication, so you might want to check your local listings.
Don't ask me to tape this for you! I can't. The stupid local cable company only carries WBQC from 6-11 p.m. nightly, so if I wanted to watch it I would have to unplug the cable line and reroute the jacks to the VCR and TV.

A Rick Springfield music video aired on VH1 Classics a few minutes ago. Rick appeared briefly in "Saga Of A Star World" as Zac, Apollo's little brother who was the first casulty when the cylons attacked the colonies at Cimtar. Any OS fan knows this, of course. I'm tempted to drop the VHI Classics crew an email requesting any of Rick's videos(along with a comment about his appearnce on BSG).

The local station re-aired Body Slam at a later time when the cable company carried that channel, so I watched the movie. The film was kind of confusing in places and often very silly and kinda stupid. It does have the distinction of Dirk dressing in drag, which was the scariest thing I'd seen in a long time....

I just recently recieved a VHS copy of "Body Slam". The movie was centered around the "Rock & Wrestling" craze during the mid 80's. M. Harry Smilac was da man! I doubt a character like that would be allowed to run around on TV today. Just like two other Dirk Benedict characters we all know about. I wonder what Dirk's character in the upcoming "Earthstorm" movie will be like? Back to "Body Slam", Tonya Roberts was hot(she still is).

Universal Sleuth debuted Jan. 1. From what I understand, if you have a satellite dish or digital cable, you can subscribe to it.
I don't have it myself, although I wish I did. Some of the other shows it airs are The A-Team. Miami Vice, Homicide: Life on the Streets and The Equalizer.

appearances this week. I live in Ohio and as you may have heard, we
had the worst wind storm the state has had in more than 100 years. My
power went off Sunday, Sept. 14, at 2:30 p.m., and it is now Wednesday
evening (80 hours and counting) that I don't have power. I'm spending
the night at my mother's house.
