(This is not directly personally at anyone on this bboard, nor intended as a flame war, just a personal view of recent events. It is a general topic which addresses the "sudden" appearances of support for the Battlestar Galactica remake... support which contradicts e-mails received at BattlestarGalactica.com and BattlestarPegasus.com blasting the remake concept; snail mails received at Universal, as I've been told; and postings over time, esp. after the leakage info. on filmjerk.com.)
2 April 2002.
SCI-FI Channel announces plans for their "re-imagining" of "Battlestar Galactica." David Eick and Ronald D. Moore are attached to the project.
Tom DeSanto finds out, like the rest of Battlestar Galactica fans, that he's no longer attached to the project by virtue of this news.
Eight months pass by.
Suddenly, the casting information leaks, via two http://www.filmjerk.com articles, dated 2.Dec.02 and 8.Dec.02, happen. Fans of "Battlestar Galactica," particularly on the scifi.com bboard, unite as never before, finding faults/issues with the planned production. (Not everyone, but most everyone -- something unseen before now.)
Suddenly, I find myself with a copy of the script.
And suddenly, after a few days of numerous fans speaking against the remake, including many were vocally FOR it before the filmjerk.com leaks... there appears a few new handles who promote/support the remake.
AND WHERE WERE THESE PEOPLE DURING THE PAST EIGHT MONTHS?
