BSG Game news!! HOT!!
http://www.homelanfed.com/index.php?id=14566
Some highlights:
"...we didn't know much about the new series until quite recently except that it was a 'remake' and we didn't want to contradict it or the original series too much but rather build onto a franchise - and creating a history for the series which works with both new and old seemed appropriate. We're only human.
HomeLAN - Finally is there anything else you wish to say about Battlestar Galactica before we wrap this up?
John Mamais - Maybe another hint about the nature of the story - is that we really liked the Count Iblis character in the original series - and we've tried to build in some of those mythological underpinnings to help explain the origin of the Cylons."
I recommend reading the whole interview.
These guys have got it together! THIS is a prequel, and it's compatible with the original, unlike the remake.

Thanks for posting that news. It's encouraging to learn that the game designers have a respect for TOS. This has definitely revived my interest in the game.

From the pics in the gallery, they sure look TOS, don't they?
But I'm waiting to see the box before I'll even think about buying.
I refuse to play "William 'Husker' Adama", thank you. To do so would be to support the Abomination; and I would call that treasonous, I think.......
We shall see.

I'd have to actually buy like a PlayStation-2 or an X-Box or one of those weird non-computer gaming gizmo type things....
So, I'm with you on this one, Dawg - if I have to play William "Husker" Adama - forgeddabout it.

This is something I may want to get!
I think as long as they avoid the new G03 stuff I will be plunking down my $50

Curious:
VU's game site is giving an intro similar to the mini's opening voiceover, yet the game designer says it's prequel to TOS, then says something inaccurate about the length of the war prior to TOS.
*head is spinning* Some other mod can decide which news thread to put this one in: I'd probably put it in both AGAIN....*sigh*
Right hand, left hand. On different bodies....
