Censored at SciFi
The following message by me was not put up on the SciFi BB after the infamous "no continuation discussion" announcement:
Moderators: Richard Hatch's books?
What about discussion of Richard Hatch's books, which are an approved use of the "Battlestar Galactica" trademark and are a continuation of the original TV series? Would it be OK to compare this legitimate "Battlestar" property to the new miniseries?
Also I don't understand how you can believe the debate on continuation vs. reimagining has run its course when many fans are still actively discussing that subject.
Unfortunately, such selectivity on your part could bring the perception of the worst kind of censorship on this BB. That is censorship to promote one particular viewoint at the expense of other legitmate viewpoints. I and many fans believe the forum should be a place of open discussion on any aspect of "Battlestar Galactica, as long as it is kept cordial. SciFi's forums should not be run merely as an advertisement for SciFi approved shows. Honest opinions of the contrarian view should be respected, no matter how exasperating it may be to those marketing your new programming.
