Possible Theme Song for Remake?
This is meant solely in jest, couldn't resist .
To the tune of "Streets of Laredo":
As I walked out
On the streets of libido
As I walked out
On libido one day
I spied a young Cylon
All wrapped in bikini
All wrapped in bikini
And ready to play...

Personally, I'd vouch for Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" or Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It"...
Of course, Short Notice would have to do the covers. Rock on, OWD.

ROTFL, Muffit.
Michael: Am wanting/waiting to sing another song, hopefully someday, think this was Queen too, but we've already noted I am hopeless at music citations "We are the Champions"

I would have suggested 'Cylons In Love' by Bent, but I can't make out the lyrics as they're all vocodered!

Nice thread Muffit!
Could this be our theme tune:
The Impossible Dream (from Man of La Mancha)
To dream the impossible dream,
to fight the unbeatable foe,
to bear with unbearable sorrow,
to run where the brave dare not go...
To right the unrightable wrong,
to love pure and chaste from afar,
to try when your arms are too weary
to reach the unreachable star!
This is my quest --
to follow that star
no matter how hopeless,
no matter how far --
To fight for the right
without question or pause,
to be willing to march into hell
for a heavenly cause!
And I know
if I'll only be true
to this glorious quest
that my heart
will be peaceful and calm
when I'm laid to my rest.
And the world will be better for this
that one man, scorned and covered with scars,
still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable stars!
Regards,
Peter

Stu Phillips 5 CD Set
I'm finding my self listening nearly daily now when I had not listen to it in a few years. Any one know witch direction the Bonniestar show is going with music?
Any one remember the Battlestar Galactica Disco record? It was the first LP I had bought on my own thinking it was the soundtrack to the show. The cheesey Fembot on the cover should have been enough warning...it was terrible like Galactica 1980 terrible
so this is the "new" place...pretty nice
catch ya later
looking forward to some good news Monday

Welcome to Colonial Fleets Sept17th! Hope you like it here, the folks are really nice.
Peter Noble, that song is perfect for the way we feel. Also I love that song -- guests used to get really plastered in the bar connected to the restaurant where I worked and sing this song at the piano bar. They sounded really good too!
Thanks all for adding to this thread

I disagree muffit
When ever I read Moore's script, I hear that old filthy song from the rapper 2-Live Crew in my head.
"AHHHHHH Me so Horny"

That song, "I'm not a girl - not yet a woman", by Britney Spears, should be just about what MEH have in mind for the soundtrack.

Well, in keeping with Moore's attitude about Galactica and its fans, perhaps the theme should be "My Way" by Sinatra.

Hi Sept17th, I got that BsG disco LP (by Giorgio Moroder, no less!) a few years ago. I think it was Moroder's attempt to do for Galactica what MECO did for Star Wars. Apparently some disco enthusiasts rate the B-side 'Evolution' as a classic.
Also, I remember when buying the LP, the dealer remarked on how great the sleeve was! lol!
By the way, does anyone else remember the 'official' Battlestar Galactica disco single on the MCA label? It's got a harder sound than the Moroder LP.

Theme Song for Continuation?
I hear people saying we don't need this war
I say there's some things worth fighting for
What about our freedom and this piece of ground (New Kobol)
We didn't get to keep 'em by backing down
Now they say we don't realize the mess we're getting in
Before you start your preaching let me ask you this my friend
Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeworld under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when the colonies fell?
We had neighbors still on the ground going thru a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout the Cylons
Have you forgotten?
They took all the footage off my T.V.
Said it's too disturbing for you and me
It'll just breed anger that's what the experts say
If it was up to me I'd show it everyday
Some say this fleet is just out looking for a fight
Well after the ambush at Cimtar man I'd have to say that's right
Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeworld under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when the colonies fell?
We had neighbors still on the ground going thru a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout the Cylons
Have you forgotten?
Now I've been there with the warriors
Who've gone away to war
And you can bet that they remember
Just what they're fightin' for
Have you forgotten all the people killed?
Some went down like heros in that space battlefield
Have you forgotten about our Home Worlds?
And all the loved ones that we lost and those left to carry on
Don't you tell me not to worry 'bout the Cylons
Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeworld under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when the colonies fell?
We had neighbors still on the ground going thru a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout the Cylons
Have you forgotten?

I have it on good authority that there are going to be three new characters added for our viewing pleasure:
Geius Gilligan-First mate who can't stop thinking about Ginger 6.
Corporal Schultz-Knows NOTHING, sees NOTHING, hears NOTHING.
Colonel Klink-Sits on his helmut tooo many times. Needs EMERGENCY surgery.

I was just kidding James.
I have this mental image of Ron sway dancing to this song as he is seated and typing away at his holy script

:) Thanks Kingfish
I see our "friends" aren't amused by it...
I guess they'll hate the animated portion that's going along with it next, huh?
