Update on this end: Methinks we'll see this after the mini-series airs. The schedules of some folks are simply too busy to sidetrack and make this happen, imo.
But it will happen. Everyone's continued patience is very appreciated.

go to the gallery page at leestringer.com
scroll
waaaaaaay
down
Click on photo of galactica landing bay in space. Imagine everything in that still shot in motion.
That's only near the beginning of it.
It is WORTH waiting to see. Your patience will be rewarded richly.

Things hit a bit of a snag. Alot of people just went on extended vacationing. I guess they worked hard in holywood and figure they can take the rest of the month off. :/
but we ARE still working on it. Good people are pressing good people.

btw Lee Stringer is the effects supervisor at Zoic Studios which did the space battles and effect shots for the miniseries. He was one of the builders of the new Galactica. He also use to be part of Foundation Imaging which did effects for the Star Trek series. He also did alot of work on Firefly.
Plus he's a good man and a great big fan of the original Galactica.

Now Lee can came back from the dark side to put his absolutely amazing work to use on a Tom DeSanto/Glen Larson/Richard Hatch BSG movie.

Is that, "Lee on vacation at the sanitarium, following the hellish deadlines/schedules" or "Lee, back from the tropical island"? (Couldn't resist.)
First, this BG mini wraps up, then "Firefly the movie" (via Universal, ironically) gets put on indefinite hold. Ouch. I don't doubt Zoic will have plenty to do in the near term, though, if television isn't wholly dominated by reality TV show programming.
