Em comes in after taking a beating from Lord Admiral Tibbets over at the StarGatebbs......" Man, he is a tough cookie. He couldn't understand that I was not berating the new BSG miniseries; but the way it was concieved and carried out and disassembled. He said that I was lying about talking to Richard; and I did, at Dragon Con last year(I even have pictures).....He also said that if he had listened to the hardcore StarGate fans he would have never watched the TV series...I reminded him that StarGate SG1 is a continuation, not a reimagining.....
I need a tequila shot and some lemons and salt....leave the bottle sweetpea, I'll be here for awhile.....

Em limps in and sits at the bar....." A cup of Earl Grey..hot please. Sugar and cream....I aggravated an old knee injury and it hurts frelling bad to walk on it(that will teach me to rollarblade). I did 12 hours at work yesterday. Luckily it was a quiet day and being by myself in the department, I could sit...... I'll take a couple of aspirin too......"

Ouch Emerita! Have an ice bag to go with the tea. Or should that be a warm compress? I never remember.

I tried heat, thinking it was a flare up from my traumatic arthritis, but I think now it is definitely inflamed so I have ice packs on it...It is storming here today, so it is the ice pack and reruns of Star Gate.....

*Yawn* Another day....another day looking for a job. I hate this. Retirement was so much easier.... I have two bites out, but nothing yet. The weekend job I have is not enough to feed my cravings......cravings of collecting that is. :p Well, more time to play here, I guess.

Oh...not much...I did finish my book and I am looking for an agent.....which is always hard because you have to send to so many to get one bite.....but as they say...it won't happen if you don't try....
Otherwise, things are quiet here. We are getting our summer storms which always makes the early afternoons intresting. I am babysitting my daughters 120 pound Stephordshire Terrier which is like having a 2 year old in the house...

Hi all,
It's been 106 or better every day for the last month here. Today, surprisingly, the morning was filled with thunderclaps and rain and a nice cool 73 degrees. It's nice to have the windows open. I really like air and light.
I am really jazzed (pun intended). I got all my data restored on my system. I can't tell you how important it was not to lose the last 8 years of work and info. I'm thankful for moments like these, a cool break in the weather and a stroke of good luck.
Cheers,
