BG Game footage up with sound!
Wow what does everybody think?
I know it's based on the remake but, Vipers doing arcs and spins yawing motion etc stuff not seen in the original series here in action for the new game. Although it's story cut away footage how does it fare.
Is this comparable to Richard hatch's Second Coming trailer? or does it fall short. I say this cos alot of us over here haven't seen the Richard Hatch: SC trailer yet. (if ever)
What do those who have seen it think of it!
Please give commentary on it.
Also what do you think of the statements made by a Vivendi Universal rep over there on Galactica 2003 about the game's development, release and content.

I saw one of the clips for the game and think they are using a great brand name to make money. Sadly they are doing it at the expense of the true fans of BG.

Second, read Michael's post about *who* is in it
This "based on the remake" crap is coming from The Charybdis Bunch due to the fact Universal made a 1% change to it, making Adama's NAME the remake Adama.
The narration is an add on as well, and it really doesn't mean much.
That is the ONLY changes I've heard of.
So that leaves 99% of it as a prequel (especially given what voices are heard in it) to TOS, not the remake.
I do plan on getting the footage when time allows for a big download

Warrior that is excellent news. It also means Michael's statement prequel leads to continuation is TRUE.

Apothis i still can't get to save'em as quicktime movies though? Just this M.4 business, thats strange.
Still don't worry to much about it, love the opening trailer though, dogfight captures the feel of battlestar, Cylon raiders move much more deadier and tougher than the old Cylons we knew of. trailer has the Raiders destroy more Colonial Vipers than Cylon Raiders, makes for a huge change.
Although i find the games shots way off than the story mode footage. It pales in comparison to the kick ass footage seen in the cut away story mode. Hope the delvelopers make the game like the classic "Star Wars arcade game" by Sega in 1998. The hold screen moves in the game modes along with the action, very bad it makes it average, by far. And the voice overs in battle sound like fans made this game, not any hired vocalist hired for the job of dong credible voice overs.
All in all i got to download those opening trailer shots, somehow that dogfight does capture BG style and essense in a small way not all of it. but wow!

Anyone notice this
That the new vicous Cylon Raiders have some form of Q.S.E. during the dogfight battle against the Colonial Vipers. Some of Richard Hatch's influences from his novels getting in huh?

I am glad that you brought that point up. In the mini Cylons can't die because they can download their conciousness into another body. In Warhawk, Lucifer does this before the ship he is on is destroyed.

True Kingfish. I notice how the Vipers in the game demo are "Fancy" somewhat? Tigh said in the original their vipers weren't so fancy.
But then again since when can we make ties with a remake version which will kill off any reference to the classic series original. Although why the option to use the classic vipers is weird. Maybe they are in the game and you need a code or cheat to access them?!
I'm sure alot of fan love the demos, but the footage of the game play differs to the opening trailer. Because in comparsion it ain't so great yet?, hopefully a lot of changes will be made to game way before it release. If George Lucas doesn't allow unfit versions of Star Wars products to be released then someone should be on hand to make sure a "Galactica" title isn't a half assed cheesy attempt, to put out a title because of it's name value and make a buck out of it's 25th anniversary! Or the fact it's based on a reimaginning of the series, a version us fans aren't too chuffed about.

All I know is am getting this game in September when it comes out lol. Damn have always wanted to fly one of those Vipers woo hoo.
So if my website is being neglected in September across the board not just the Galactica section, I will be fragging some Cylon butt and saving the universe.
