Default Galatica 1980

What’s your view on the series do u disregard it all together???

Plus in the new series should they find Earth, and if they do what kind of story line would you like.

IMO Galactica 1980 was hmmmmm crap the only good thing was that they found Earth but after that its was crap. Also if they find Earth in the new eps then they should involve Earth more/have scenes like Independence Day in it.

O and hi

Granted, Galactica 1980 was crap, but it's better than what TPTB have in mind for the re-imagining.

Hi SmugsUK! Welcome to Colonial Fleets! Yep, I think most feel that G80 was bad, but the new reimagining sounds even worse.

On the bright side, nice to see you here!

I think the first thing they could do to improve G80 would be to remove the bouncing children. That was just TOO silly, and I thought so even at 15.

If the stories were much better written G80 could have been very good, I loved it when they did make it to Earth

Yeh that was the good bit, i was looking forward to some Independance day style scenes with F14's/F15's fighting along side Vipers against the Cylons, but no instead we got Children bounching around on earth and taking apart Video Cameras etc.

Didn't ABC limit the number of Cylons the Colonials could shoot down per episode?

Since the show was on at 7:00pm it had to be kid friendly. So, they had to go easy on the violence. Today, I don't think this would be an issue. Yes, Galactica 1980 was a slipshod rush job, but it did have a few good episodes. I liked the opening three parter, the night the cylons landed two parter and the return of Starbuck. If this show was released on dvd I would buy it. But it had better be under 20 bucks!

Talk about digging up old threads I'd buy a fully produced DVD set too.
