Wow...I actually didn't see this one coming. I wasn't too big on the actual show itself, but I might check this out to see how good (or how bad) it was.

I have heard reports of skipping on the pilot episode. Has anyone else heard this? I don't want to buy the set if it is defective. As for the show itself, It was what it was. A live action Flash show! Who could knock that?

It was an awesome show. Actor John Wesley Shipp did an excellent job portraying Barry "Flash" Allen. The special effects were very cool. I would give the series . The pilot episode where he got his powers was the bomb. I liked all of the episodes that they put out. It was too bad it left the air. I love superhero shows. I really wish they would have made a Generation-X series after the made for TV movie came on TV. But, alas, it never came to be.

I picked up THE FLASH on DVD the day it was released. Yes, my disc got stuck/skipped only on the pilot episode (as discussed in other message boards). I returned the original DVD box set (about a month later) to the store where I purchased it and they promptly exchanged my old set for the new corrected version. I noticed that the pilot episode disc had a slightly different opaque center spool on the re-release. This must be the difference from the first (errored) release version. The new box set played fine on all discs. I would think that by now all of these box sets have been replaced with the corrected version of the pilot episode disc. It's definitely a set to pick up and enjoy!
