Inuyasha ends in Japan
Inuyasha finally is ending up its tv series. In japan next week they are airing the 166th episode. And it will be a double length finale to the series.
FINALLY! I hope they kill Naraku. He needs to die.
Though they are really rushing it now. Episode 165 covered 8 chapters from what I heard. And there is no time to give any sort of cap to the little demon wolf Kouga. Though the last few episodes have given a few nice moments to Seeshoumaru, Rin, Jakkin and Kohaku.
I have heard rumors of a OVA being planned. With some new character introduced in episode 165. So Inuyasha is probably going to continue in some form. Though I am hoping Naraku isn't.

Inuyasha the TV series is now officially over in Japan. Suprisingly...or not.... Nothing has changed.
The bad guy is still out there. Naraku and all his main henchmen are still alive.
Inuyasha and Kagome are STILL working out their relationship.
There are a few changes in two minor characters. Kagura who for awhile now has been secretly hoping to see her boss overthrown is now known by Naraku to be a traitor. But nothing has happened to her yet. And Sango's brother Kohaku has regained his memories, though no one knows it. He pretends to be on Naraku's side in hopes he will get the oportunity to kill Naraku.
Outside of that the adventure still goes on.
At the end of the show after the credits you hear all the voice actors speak.
Quote:
Inuyasha: Everyone! Thanks for watching Inuyasha!
Kagome: Because of everyone's support, we were able to work so hard for four years.
Miroku: And even now...
Sango: Our journey doesn't end!
Shippo: Shonen Sunday's series will keep going! (Inuyasha started as and cntinues as a comic in a sunday magazine filled with various comic stories)
Inuyasha: We'll keep working at it! So you guys keep at it too!
Kagome: So please support Inuyasha in the future too!
everyone (shouts): Thank you so much!!!
Inuyasha: So we'll see you winter break for Inuyasha the movie, "The Crimson Hourai Island"!
|
Quote:
Afterwards there is a short trailer
Narrator: On the legendary island that appears once every 50 years, there lies the hidden futures of Kagome, Kikyo and Inuyasha!
Inuyasha: Kikyo! Why are you here?!?
Narrator: Inuyasha the movie, "The Crimson Hourai Island"!
premieres December 23

Inayusha and Kagome STILL get nowhere in their relationship?. Sounds like typical Takahashi for you. Nothing EVER gets resolved.
None of the relationships in "Ranma 1/2 have ever come to fruition, even twenty years later. Im suprised Ranma hasnt had his fill of abuse and left that band of borderline psychotic losers. Besides, i's pretty clear he and Akane hate each others guts
In Maison Ikkoku Godai and Kyoto seem to feel mutual attraction but it never goes beyond that. Nor does he ever tell off those jerks who keep invading his room.
Urusei Yatsura also shows a guy who has a perfect babe ready for him yet still acts lecherously.
Not that Im dissing Takahashi. But history dictates that you will more than likely never see a resolution to Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship.
So no Inuyasha 2: Doggy Style

I can't deal with how in english the cat is called Ki-LaLa.
Its sounds more like Kirara in the japanese which sounds much less "cute".
I was disapointed that the plot didn't really go anywhere for the last hundred spisodes. Villians were introduced and dipstched. But Naraku is still doing the same old evil plotting. And Inuyasha is still no closer to killing him.
Not that I didn't enjoy it. But this series is definitely for the journey and not the destination.
