Keeping it simple.....
Other than maybe bringing back the cafe for all you coffee nuts i'm thinking this present single discussion area suits everyone. No specific mini forum, no specific TOS forum, one forum for BSG. I'd also like to bring back a strong art forum area and expand on it.
Suggestions?
Tom started seperate genre forum sections. I see no harm in them. Expanding the site to not only handle BG but give other's a spot to talk SG1 and other such shows.

Hope you keep the SG1 section. It's nice to discuss SG1 episodes that just aired rather than having to download the BitTorrent and discuss episodes that are 4-5 ahead of time, although I love the elimination of the commercials. Yes, we are already have discussed Heroes, part 1, soon to discuss part 2 later this week. Not to mention 24 at another forum. I need another hard drive....lol...j/k

I liked the old forum separation but, agree with keeping ALL BSG show-related conversation located in 1 sub-forum. The only qualification that I would make with that, however, is that the title not be misleading. Use some of these new acronyms so that folks would know whether the article is about TOS, the mini-series, G80, the L/D project, etc.
Otherwise, there should be some separation, by category, so that things are easy to follow. That's what I really loved about the previous format.
Suggestions:
Forum/BSG News (previous)
Forum Suggestions, Info, Feedback (previous)
BSG Discussion
SG-1
Other Sci-Fi/Fantasy Entertainment
Non-Sci-Fi/Fantasy Entertainment
Creativity (for discussion of Gallery pics, fanfics, modelling, etc.)
Cafe (previous)
O-T (off topic for anything)
'Temporary' Section-for discussion about big events. Ex: Star Wars (since Ep III will be released in 2005) OR if it was this past year, LOTR. Those are just some examples.
The temporary section would only be used for a given period of time and then, the articles would be moved to an appropriate destination, like Other Sci-Fi, etc, after the show aired.
Any thoughts?

Keeping it simple is usually the best way to do things. Less confusion all the way around.
I'd like to see the news section retained (with limited posting rights to keep the discussions in the discussion area), and the Cafe, of course. A single non-BSG sci-fi forum could fit even the individual sci-fi shows, I think; perhaps sub-forums if the show is popular enough, like SG1 (can you do that?).
BST, I suspect that "temporary" subjects, perhaps even off-topic subjects, would take care of themselves in the general discussion forum. When they're no longer of interest, those threads will just drift to the bottom all by themselves. However, separate forums for these is not a bad idea, if Don and Tom want to go that route. (I'm just thinking "keep it simple").
Those are my thoughts, for now.

Yeah, KISS (Keep It Simple (Stupid))
I was just thinking of ways to avoid having a hodgepodge of non-related stuff in one forum.
It's that dang left-brain/right-brain deal. When they start arguing, all I get out of it is a headache.
