Quark
Does anyone remember this sci-fi sitcom? It ran for only a few episodes back in the 70s. I stumbled upon an old betmax tape of it at a garage sale and I thought it was pretty cool. I was wondering if anyone else has ever seen it?

Absolutely!!
And it still plays on cable down here (tho not in the last 9 months)
I have some eps on VHS, but they aren't in good condition.
For anyone with a love of TV scifi its a classic, with all the ripoffs of certain stereotypes. I haven't seen it on DVD, but if I stumbled across it I would buy it. Short lived but VERY funny (evben the really lame bits..)
Cheers,
Lara

Wow. That's really cool that it still plays where you are. It hasn't been seen in the US since its first airing. I think it may have been re-run once in Canada back in the early 90s but that is the closest it has been to re-running back in the States.
But I'm glad to hear someone else knows what I'm talking about so I don't feel quite as insane!

I have the whole series on disc. It's definately an oldie, but still good for a few chuckles.

I remember this show. The 2 Bettys arguing over which was the original and which was the clone. The planet sized villain ship (sounds familiar). And our heroes on the space garbage truck.
I'm going to http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/ and vote for this. Please do so too. And while there vote for When Things Were Rotten.

I remember this show! The lead character was named Adam Quark. He was the captain of a space garbage scow of the United Galaxy Sanitation Patrol. His non-emotional first officer is named Ficus and is a humanoid plant. Ficus is a direct spoof of Mr. Spock. The show only lasted 9 episodes back in 1978. Here's hoping that this show will be released on DVD!

Hey, I watched it because it was science fiction. Unlike today, 1970s Science fiction TV was limited to Star Trek reruns, blink and their cancelled shows like Logan's run, Planet of the Apes and Fantastic Journey and the two seasons of Space 1999. As a kid I didn't realize Quark was meant for laughs.

I remember thinking it was hilarious as a kid. I didn't think the characters were all that great except for Ficus and Quark (too young to be into the Bettys) but it was a dose of NEW cheap sci-fi. Had to have it.
