Star Wars Stir Well Stay Warm
Hi all! Just got done watching the new DVD of A New Hope. Video is awesome, wonder how they get it so pristine from way back in 1977. Sound is very good too, good placement of the surrounds, especially the interpretation of the final score, very moving. We listened thru the entire credits just to hear it. I wasn't crazy about the scene additions, although I do see why he put them in. Newcomers would probably benefit.
Trivia!! I noticed something for the first time (dense as I am) --
"Prisoner transfer from cell block 1138"
Ah, another tip of the hat to THX 1138, LOL. One puzzling thing though, during the last battle when being attacked, one of the pilots says "Three Marks coming in at 2:10!". Funny, how did he know all their names were Mark???"

LOL Muffit. You brought to mind what confused me the most in ROTJ. It was when the emperor told the commander as Luke looked on in horror, "You may fire at will, commander." I thought Admiral Ackbar was leading the fleet, and I'm sure his first name wasn't Will. So who was Will, and on which rebel ship did he serve?

Which reminds me of another perplexing factor in many, many war movies. Isn't it a strange coincidence that so many enemy commanders and soldiers are all named Will? They always say, "Fire at Will, fire at Will!" Boy, when you're in a war, it sure sucks to be named Will.

ROTFL 14th!!!
No wonder the Sardaukar lost to the Fremen in Dune -- they couldn't fire till they "saw the whites of their eyes...!!!"

Not firing till they saw the whites of their eyes....Sounds like Andrew Jackson's Battle of New Orleans orders.....
Been watching Quantum Leap DVDs--their writers would call the Dune reference to that line "a kiss with history". Kinda a cool way to put it.

Eh Jewels ? I have never kissed a girl called History ?
To all those who like amusing star wars things - have you looked up the Easter Eggs for the box set. If I remember this right, go the video game menu, and press on your remote the number 1138 and you will get a blooper reel, which includes Boba Fett shooting at Ewoks...
Shame he didn't do that before the movie started filming

Didn't work
I recently bought the widescreen edition of the box set and when I went to the game menu, I could not find the bloopers that you mentioned. Is there another place where I can find it?
Also, is there a website that lists all the easter eggs on these types of DVDs? I wasn't sure if there was or not.
Thanks for any help you can be . . .
