Battlestar Galactica 1978 other roles of actors

I am suggesting a new category for Colonial Fleets. I would like to know when other programs that the actors have been in will be airing on TV in the coming week. I don't want to do this all myself and am suggesting that each of you participate.
I already list the reruns of episodes in which Richard guests on a Yahoo discussion group, and I can easily put that same information about him here. Unfortunately, except for The Waltons, MacGyver and Baywatch, almost all of the umpteem series in which he made guest appearances are now out of circulation.
To give you an example of what I mean, I compile a list every week for an Everwood group. This is what I post Sunday mornings:

The following Everwood cast members will be in the following programs Feb.
8-14. All times are US Eastern.

Feb. 8-14

Tom Amandes
Sunday, Feb. 8, 3 p.m., Showtime, Straight Talk

John Beasley
Wednesday, Feb. 11, 12 p.m., TNT, Judging Amy, Shock and Awe

Merrilyn Gann
Sunday, Feb. 8, 3 a.m., Lifetime Movie Channel, My Name is Kate

Beth Grant
Monday, Feb. 9, 9 p.m., Bravo, Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie
Newmar; repeats at 12 a.m. Tuesday

Lee Garlington
Monday, Feb. 9, 11 p.m., The West Wing, Red Haven's on Fire
Tuesday, Feb. 10, 6 p.m., AMC, Psycho III
Tuesday, Feb. 10, 10 p.m., Cinemax, One Hour Photo
Saturday, Feb. 14, 7 p.m., TBS, Field of Dreams

Debra Mooney
Wednesday, Feb. 11, 12 a.m., TCM, Dead Poets Society
Friday, Feb. 13, 10 a.m., TNT, ER, Rites of Spring
Saturday, Feb. 14, 8 p.m., Tootsie

Treat Williams
Wednesday, Feb. 11, 9 p.m., Lifetime, Deep End of the Ocean
Friday, Feb. 13, 11 p.m., Bravo, Mulholland Falls

So if any of you are interested in posting similar information every week, I'd like to read it. I will remind everyone of Richard's appearances, if the rest of you want to add anybody else.
Mary

Default how to compile a listing

Dear Julie and everybody else,
There are probably several ways to research what's coming up on TV, but this is the way I do it. It took me awhile to compile all this information but now I can go through all the schedules very quickly. It involves a bit of cross-referencing.
I start with www.imdb.com and found an actor's name and then printed out his/her listings of all the TV shows and movies he/she had been in. Then I go to the Internet and look up the various channel websites and look at their schedules. What's nice is that an actor's imdb listing includes the title of the episode and so do the various channel listings.
To get you started, here is a list you can print out of all of the cable channels that I know about (these aren't the basic networks or the premium channels):
A&E
http://www.aetv.com/
Go to this week, then select a date

ABC Family
http://abcfamily.go.com/home.html
then go to listings

AMC
http://www.amctv.com
then go to AMC guide

Bravo
http://www.bravotv.com/Schedule/

Cartoon Network
http://schedule.cartoonnetwork.com
then go to TV schedule or TV shows

Court TV
http://www.courttv.com/schedule

Disney
www.disneychannel.com
go to loading schedule

Hallmark
http://www.hallmarkchannel.com/frame...tvSchedule.jsp

Lifetime
http://www.lifetimetv.com/shows/tvsc...tweek_out.html

Lifetime Movie Network
http://lifetimetv.com/lmn
then go to TV schedule

Nick at Nite
http://www.tvland.com/nickatnite/schedule

Oxygen
http://www.oxygen.com/schedule/?slot=nav

Pax TV
http://www.pax.tv/schedule/

Sci Fi
http://www.scifi.com/schedulebot

Soapnet
http://soapnet.go.com/onlyonsoapnet/...ing_shows.html

Spike
http://www.spiketv.com/schedule/TNN_show.jhtml

Sundance
http://www.sundancechannel.com/schedule/

TCM
http://www.turnerclassicmovies.com/S...ex/0,,,00.html
Go to view/print month

TBS
http://www.superstation.com/schedule/0,,,00.html

TNT
http://www.tnt.tv/Schedule

TV Land
http://www.tvland.com/schedule/TVL_s...ml?day=2&zone=
go to select a show

USA Network
http://www.usanetwork.com/cgi-bin/schedule.cgi

WE
http://www.we.tv/section/0,,key=2&vi...fset=0,00.html

WGN
http://tv.tribune.com/whatson/home/1...ble-18,00.html
Go to primetime, then select a day

So now that you know the movies and TV episodes a person's been in, you just have to look at the schedule to see when they will be airing.
As for the regular networks and the premium cable channels, I just look through the TV schedule when it comes in the Saturday or Sunday newspaper (TV Guide works too).
I know that there's a website called zap2it, which I haven't looked at. But that just lists starring roles in movies or TV series, not bit parts or one-time guest appearances.

Default upcoming airings feb 15-21

This is my first list of actors' other roles for the week. I just went through the TV schedule and looked through the movie listings. I'm not going to do a more detailed listing like I've done for Richard Hatch or for the Everwood actors because I don't have time.
So I'm presenting a challenge to the rest of you. As I've said, if I find any Richard listings, I'll be sure to post them. But perhaps the rest of you would like to go through your various TV schedules and websites to discover when your personal faves are appearing. I'm specifically thinking of TracyB for Dirk Benedict and EasternSkyWatcher for Sarah Rush. Also, Ian, could you tell us exactly when and where Streets of San Francisco is airing in England? In other words, this list doesn't just apply to US viewers.
So this is what I've found:

Feb. 15-21

Herbert Jefferson Jr.
Thursday, Feb. 19, 9 p.m., USA, Apollo 13 (with John Dullaghan, Rance Howard and Bruce Wright)
Saturday, Feb. 21, 8 p.m., TNT, Outbreak

Lorne Greene
Bonanza
Airs at 5 p.m. Monday through Friday on Pax
Airs at 2 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturdays, 2 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sundays, and 2 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays on TV Land
Airs at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays, and 7 and 8 p.m. Saturdays on Hallmark

Jane Seymour
Sunday, Feb. 15, 3:30 p.m., AMC, Somewhere in Time

Skippercollector -

I like this "service" that you are providing to Fleets (a lot!). It gives us a chance to see some of our favorite people from BSG in other roles that we may have missed over the years.

Quote:
Richard Hatch
Tuesday, March 2, 12 p.m., Spike, MacGyver, Three for the Road,
Friday, March 5, 10 a.m., A&E, Murder She Wrote, Deadly Lady (with Anne Lockhart); repeats at 4 p.m.
I am looking forward to seeing Richard in these 2 programs - I haven't seen much of him in anything since BSG...

Quote:
Herbert Jefferson Jr.
Sunday, Feb. 29, 4 p.m., USA, Apollo 13 (with Rance Howard, John Dullaghan and Bruce Wright); repeats at 10 a.m. Monday
I have Apollo 13 and I never knew that there was one actor, much less than FOUR all in the same production. I'll have to get the DVD out and take a look see..

Thanks again for the updates!

Default wish i could get more participating

Bryan,
I wish I could get others to join in! I just don't have time to look for all the actors' other roles on a regular basis. With the exception of Richard Hatch, the list I am giving all of you next week is just taken straight out of the TV schedule.

Default ed begley in kingdom hospital

I am giving up on watching "Kingdom Hospital." I really like Ed Begley Jr., and I adore Bruce Davison and will watch almost anything he's in, but I do not like "Kingdom Hospital." It's the most physically ugly show I have ever watched, absolutely no one in the series is likeable, and worst of all, it's just boring!
Normally Stephen King movies and TV shows are creepy but funny and everyone, even the bad guys, are charming. This show has no appealing characteristics at all.
What did the rest of you think?

A dish-only network called True Stories, an affiliate of Encore/Starz! is airing Deadman's Curve this month! A note of warning: the first half is a little slow and disjointed, but the second half is wonderful, and you will need a large amount of tissues by your side!

The LA Times has published Jan Berry's obituary, and the film "Deadman's Curve" does get a brief mention (although it doesn't mention Richard playing Jan).

A note of caution: I can no longer list what's on Spike. The network has changed the format of its website, and no longer lists the individual upcoming episodes of its reruns. I know that Richard guested on "MacGyver" and both Richard and Dirk guested on "Baywatch" but you're on your own as to trying to figure out when they air.

Default the other roles they've played

I've talked before about the different roles Richard Hatch has played, which ones I liked and didn't like, and why. But I haven't given that serious of thought to the other Galactica actors and their other roles, other than Lorne Greene in Bonanza and Ed Begley Jr. in St. Elsewhere. Which other roles by the other actors have you really enjoyed, which ones made you cringe, and which ones bored you?

Default throwing tomatoes

I suppose some of you will want to throw tomatoes at me for announcing this, and some of you might want to throw tomatoes at your TV screen, but I'm saying this anyway:
Tricia Helfer will appear on the Late Late Show on CBS at 12:50 a.m. Saturday, April 10 (eastern time).

Thanks for the heads up - I want to see what she looks like without that nasty bleached blonde hair and with her clothes on......!

Mary,

Thanks for compiling this list. Unfortunaley, due to my recent schedule, I've missed all of them EXCEPT for Tricia Helfer. Speaking of her, I recently saw in the paper that she was playing one of the stars (Farrah Fawcett, I think) in the Charlie's Angels telemovie that was recently broadcast. Of course, I said "I think" because I didn't watch it either!

I just saw Terry Carter on "The Return of Sam McCloud" from 1989. In that movie, he'd been promoted to Chief. It's playing on The Mystery Channel.

When I went back to the TV after the previous post, I found that Patrick McNee was in that movie as well. I was so tired that I didn't get to watch the rest of it though!

Default two related programs

These two programs are only somewhat related, but one of them I really recommend!
1. Diagnosis Murder, with father and son team Dick and Barry Van Dyke, airs weeknights at 10 p.m. eastern time on Pax.
2. The new season of "An American Family," with Edward James Olmos, has started on PBS. This program is very well-done, and I think many of you will enjoy it. However, I've watched the program since it began, and even I find it confusing at times! It's a soap opera, but not like any you've ever watched before. There are lots of ghosts and flashbacks and cyclical, almost reaching-across-time storylines, so you can't watch just one episode. You'll have to view two or three of them to get the feel of what's going on.
You'll need to check your local PBS listings to see when it airs.
Mary
P.S. I know, I just made "American Family" sound like "Dark Shadows," but the two actually have nothing in common.
