That is what I was trying to say. Without Speilberg's name, it would have gotten the ratings the new Galactica will get. 0.1 rating, equivalent to 4:jestor::jestor::jestor::jestor: viewers from the other forum.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

The article could also be an attempt to get on Viacom's good side, since Viacom owns CBS.
Hammer makes a public case about her success and tries to gain support, depite us trying to tell the truth about her.

Then maybe
we should inform Viacom of her either gross ignorance, or blatant dishonesty.

I used the cbs.marketwatch feedback form to send some general comments about the article. Basically, I stressed how it is my belief that Ms. Hammer is attempting to create the illusion of support where little or none actually exists and how that could make for an interesting follow up article.

OR, perhaps,a ploy to kiss enough tushes at Sly-Fry to keep her job? How do you say "Brown nosing" in Cylon?

Y'know, she's honest about ONE thing in that article. That she doesn't feel the need to gain the support of the "old school" fanbase. Everything she says about us "Sci-philes" is patronizing and condescending. We're "yesterday's fan", and she wants "tomorrow's fan".
This is the same sad state of affairs that permeates Marvel Comics these days, especially that subset of Marvel concerned with the X Men comics. Most of the bitterness and snarking and name calling could just as easily be lifted directly FROM Joe Queseada's BBS. The parallels are so eerie it isn't even funny. In fact, it's quite sad.
Maybe I'm just getting old, but does anyone remember back when it was FUN to be a fan of something? And when the something you were a fan of was glad you were? Now it's all "new vs old" "modern vs traditional" et al ad nauseum. We spend more time FIGHTING among ourselves than we do being FANS sometimes.
Sorry if I offend anyone, I'm feeling very cynical right now...

No, you didn't offend. I feel much the same. These Borays ARE condesceding and snide. I think Moore is actually Imperious Leader in disguise, and everyone at Sly-Fry is programmed to drone "By your command".
Arm missiles, anyone?

I feel your pain. We've been disenfranchised by the tv/movie execs.

It was 21 in the original book.
Couldn't show teenagers doing all that on screen, though.

This response too late?
I don't pop in very often, and I just saw this.
If you want another URL to submit to the person at cbs.market watch (I couldn't get through; links appears to be dead) or anyone else as more evidence that various people have been voicing an opposition BS2003, here's my while-ago voicing of my two cents, a webpage repro of my letter to Barry D.:

Considering the latest episode in the Bonnie Chronicles, with an assist from none other than Edward J.O., I thought it might be time to dust off this old relic and put it back on the coffee table for your reading (and reference) pleasure.
:p
(Bonnie and Eddie after the interview. hint: Bonnie is the one with the, uh......., 'hammer').

I think I'm liking Mr Olmos even more . Not enogh to watch the Sci fi distroy a great show but he's saying what the sci fi channel is ignoring and that's the fact that the sci fi channel turned their backs totally on the fans.

I hope whoever buys out USA/Sci-Fi will kick Bonnie Hammer the hell out of there. She needs to go. BTW, I have quite a bit of respect for Mr. Olmos. He's not affraid to speak his mind, even if it lands him in trouble on occasion. Hollywood needs more people like him.
