Most gracious and much appreciated.

Was this noble quality of politeness learned while sitting atop "Guru" Mountain or was it acquired on the way up?

I was a bit disappointed with the Oscars! I though Jude Law should have won for Best Actor, Diane Keaton for Best Actress. Even though I liked ROTK I thought that Master and Commander which was another of my favorites should have won more Oscars than just two! glad Renee Zellweger won in her category though!

I think that Jude Law is an excellent actor ........that's the one actor I
would have loved to win for best actor ............I don't think the same
way about Keaten though ......................

I love Renee Zellweger. I think she's terrific

Diane Keaton was hilarious in "Something's Gotta Give"

I was disappointed that Russell Crowe wasn't nominated as well

Default Brazil nuts!

Cashews are OK, but I prefer Brazil nuts myself. At least outside of the present company.

Still, this thread IS a great read. Most entertaining. I'm not much of an awards fan; I thought LA Confidential deserved a 'Best Picture' but the Big Billion Dollar Boat beat it out. Plus the preachy Hollywood types are too political given a microphone and a podium.

BUT the ice has been broken!! A FANTASY film won a Best Picture!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now if we can just get a Science Fiction film to be appreciated by the Academy...
(and it should be known, I hold absolutely NO hope that Lucas will be responsible for that...)

Regards, all, and "thanks for the entertainment!"
