Default while i was out....

i came home from cincy on dec. 23rd and did something stupid that evening. i stoood on a chair to get something out of our crawl space and the chair toppled and i landed on my heel very hard and very wrong. it's smashed up pretty bad. having to keep it elevated until surgery a week or two from now. then i get to crutch it for 2 months and do rehab after that....a good 6 months until i walk again.

if you don't see me around, that's what i'm up to. probably with a foot up on a pile of pillows....

oh, my son most likely won't arrive home until february or march, which in my case could be a blessing.

Jewels,

Sorry to hear about your mishap. As you mentioned, about Daniel, it may very well be a blessing that his arrival has been delayed. That will allow you to get back up to speed.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I shall limp in sympathy.

I'm so sorry to hear about this - wish there was something concrete I could do beyond thinking good thoughts and sending best wishes. Which Mrs. Dawg and I shall do, of course.

When I read the thread title, I was thinking along the lines of the movie "While You Were Sleeping"

Get well, m'friend.

I thought that maybe "while she was out" someone came over and remade her living room in 2 days....

Julie - I'm sorry to hear about your injury. I know how you feel. One day, I was walking down the stairs and I slipped down two of them and fractured my ankle. It wasn't fun being laid up and it does take a while for it to get back to normal.

At least you have one of those thoughtful hubbys around....

Best,
Bryan
