Default I want to

But it depends on what i'll be doing, can't see into the future but it just really depends on the goings on in my life up untill October.

Wouldn't mind visiting the States once again for a few days though. Let you know closer to the date whether or not.

I've got my ticket (level 1), 2 rooms and working on flights. Looking like 8-10 in my group. Viperman being one of them. Going to be one hell of a party.

This may be our last chance indeed, to honor the original series as it was. It'll be a helluva party no one will want to miss, I can say that much.

You never know. I wasn't able to attend the 20th Yahren in 1998 since I was managing a team of 22 on a $50 million web site project. To meet our objectives, we had been working through the weekends. That, sadly, included the weekend of the 20th Yahren. (That was VERY frustrating...)

This time, I don't see the same problem arising. (Crossing my fingers.) There's always contigency plans if something comes up.

Would it be terribly bad form of me to go dressed up as Ronnie Moore...

Now, where did I put those glasses with the tape, and that Pocket Protector......hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'll be there in my leisure suit and goldfish platform shoes! After all, us Galactica fans are stuck in 1978. Can't wait for the disco. Do I have to buy a seperate ticket for my pet rock?

I'm afraid that's classified- I just got yelled at for possibly spoiling something by leaking information. My apologies.

Thumbs down No thanks

I've been to enough funerals this year.

Be sure to invite Moore, Eicke and Hammer. This would be a wonderful opportunity for them to plug this new series.

If this function goes forward you are only helping the executioners.

Scooter, get a grip, man. It actually is a testimony to the strength of this fanbase that we'd still get together to celebrate the 25 years it was OUR Galactica.

We can still party 'cause we're all pretty darned special people and we have our love for the original series & respect for the original cast & crew in common. And it will be a great time. And it will be about our Galactica, not about that swill.

Still working out plans & planes but I will be there.

Please explain to me ! What is there to celebrate? Strength? what strengtht? We lost to a bunch of teenaged Trekkers who has no respect nor compassion towards other fandoms.

Oh yeah we are really special let's party. If we are so special, then why did TPTB give us the shaft?

Answer is we are nobody. We don't matter and this celebration will only help Ron.

The truth hurts. Maybe you wont ever accept the fact but I already have.

It's time for me to move on. Maybe the rest of us should also.

There is no way I participate in this Celebration slash promotion.

Sorry you feel that way. But that is your choice.

There are people like Michael, Michelle, the folks working on fan projects that deserve my backing and support. And I'm going to enjoy their party/OUR party.

We said this fan-run event was the only thing TPTB could not touch - freedom of assembly and all that! If we take out our angst on this, then they HAVE won it all.

But I got into this fray knowing the chances were slim to none. And we gave the battle more of a run than some of us will ever understand. A run that in the last 3 months alone turned execs on their ear for a time, execs that never leave their lofty towers. We got their attention. And held it. And only desperate, dirty tactics wrenched it from us.

I think we can be proud of what we did. And I think the thanks are still in order for the insiders that went to bat for us. And I do consider the people here to be very special and consider many of them to be friends. I don't have faces to put with their names yet, but that event in October may change some of that. For these reasons, I am going.
