Very nicely done. They look like the real McCoy.

Now you need one of those belts from LL to carry them in Gordon.

They'll love those at the airport.

Nahhh... airports are too easy. If you really want to deal a crippling blow to America, wreck their distribution network for beer, ketchup, tabloids and NASCAR paraphernalia.

That'd bring this country to a crashing halt in minutes. LOL.

M16 magazines. Am I wrong? That's what they look like they started life as.

Great job on the charges.

Your evil intellect is correct.

20 round M16 clips. There were several variants, including ones with a "flat bttom" as opposed to the slant bottom type. They are tricky details to keep track of... which way the grooves are in relation to the top details, whether theres a switch or not, etc. etc.

I was in the U.S. Army for 4 years. The M240B was my main weapon, but I also carried a Beretta and an M4 Carbine from time to time. The M4 uses the same magazine as the M16. I'd recognize those grooves anywhere. Love what you did with the mags.

Actually, they are not based directly off the real item, but made from a custom vacuum form mold. I used measurements and photos to reconstruct the shape in high-density particle board and then used it as a forming buck. No M16 clips were harmed (or abused) in the making of these props.

Anyway, that's some crafty work you did there. M16 mags were probably what they used to make the props back on the show. You know how crafty those people in the prop departments in Hollywood can be. Your charges bring back fond memories of The Gun on Ice Planet Zero. Hopefully I'll be able to get the series on DVD soon, then I'll be able to see the real props in action.

(Gordon shakes his head slowly in depressed resignment thinking, "Only in America can a driving around and around in circles be considered a "sport"...")
