New guy, requesting hazing
Hello all, just wanted to formally introduce myself before I started sticking nose in all over the place around here.
Hopefully, I'll make a good impression on all of you guys.

Alaric -
Thanks for the intro - please feel free to fill us in a bit more about yourself if you're up for it.
Welcome aboard!
Best,
Bryan

Hello Alaric, um there isn't any hazing, just watch out for the beavers, don't drink the yellow koolaid (it has to do with the beavers) and the blue koolaid may or may not be spiked. Depends on who was in the cafe last. (they do still have that these days, right?)

Hmm, I suppose I'll start with me and BSG.
I was always a fan of TOS, watching from when I was a kid (A local TV station had TOS syndicated very early in the morning, around 5:00 AM. For some reason though, I always woke up right at 5:00 AM. Call it fate. ) and then managed to get back into TOS when I caught it sporadically on Sci Fi. I read a little of the BSG books out there, but I was never able to really become fanatic about BSG. When I heard about the TNS, I got really excited, for obvious reasons. I absolutely loved the mini-series (although I still haven't been able to get the DVD), and I can't wait to see TNS.
As for the rest of me, I'm a college student attending Rutgers University. Currently working on getting into undergrad business school. I have all kinds of interests, ranging from sports to sci-fi to film making. I'm a veteran on some anime message boards (Mainly gundam.com, if any of you guys frequented that bb). How crazy am I? Well, I played on high school's football team my senior year, and almost died. Yeah, I'm nuts folks.
...yeah, maybe too much info.
Anyway, that's me in a nut shell.
Oh yeah, and the name's Mike, in case Alaric would be too weird.

WElsome Alaric!
Its nice to meet another anime fan! I'm a fan of Macross and Noir! And lots of other shows!
I'm more of a old show fan. I'm still in the wait and see about the new show. But I love talking with friends about the show. And believe in trying to support fans of either show.
Glad to have you aboard!

Welcome to Colonial Fleets Alaric!
Phew! King of the Visigoths, here at Fleets!!! Wonder if there are any Romans here?
Feel free to be yourself and express your views here. Our resident guru, Thomas, has kindly set things up to try and make this a place where /all/ feel welcome, with separate forums for TOS, TNS and even (at several of our request), a place called the Criticism forum, where you can blast away happily at either show!
Be sure to visit the beautiful blue new series forum, where you can share your thoughts about the new show. And not to be remiss, the Cafe is truly a virtual Cafe, where you can just sit and chat about any old thing or join in the many games there. Don't trust the waiters though - they like to switch the bue koolaid with the yellow one and other nasty things
We also have a Creativity section with gorgeous artwork, and the Library with some outstanding fanfic by many of our members.
Yeah, there are a lot of die hard TOS fans here (this daggit included), but you'll find we're harmless enough.
Thanks for joining our little sector of the galaxy...

First of all, Welcome to the fleets.
You'll find that we have all kinds of intelligent people here (but fear not, I'm not one of them), so you can bet that that there is some headbutting going on. Even with all that, we still remain friends somehow. Now that being said;
Enjoy The Ride!!!

ROTFL Alaric!
Hey! Speaking of the legendary Alaric, and his rather drastic method of getting back pay from the Romans (invading Rome and looting the city, ergo initiating the Fall of the Roman Empire), I have a question for ya Alaric!
My previous employer still owes me over $6,000 for my last few weeks of work, and that was several years ago. So should I follow your example, and just go back there and sack 'em???
Inquiring Visidaggits wanna know!!

Basic tools for sacking:
Tire iron
Cigars
And a bottle of Johnny Walker
Go forth, and claim that which is yours!
...excuse me, I have some pillaging to do.
