Colonial sidearm prop question:
Now I KNOW someone here has a Colonial laser, maybe more than one. Question is, where can I get one my own self at a reasonable price? A kit would do, and yeah, I could make one, but I'm kinda busy with my Vipers & other ships & robots right now. I'll make one if I have to, but I just wanna HAVE one, y'know?
Any assistance would be appreciated. (I did find a resin piece at nearly $100, but no way can I afford that $ for something I could make with a little time & lots of sweat... )

Re: Colonial sidearm prop question:
Check ebay, But avoid Cool Models at all costs, the kit is a waste of resin. There are a couple that do show up for around $40 or so.
The prop that my wife and I both have is made by Wilco models. I'm not sure he's still offering kits though. I haven't seen any on ebay for a while.
Let me know if I can help you with anything else. even if it's trying to find some of these sellers.

Thanks! I just ordered one from Monsters In Motion- I found it listed at Blackstar Squadron!! I'm so psyched that I don't have to do it from scratch!!!!
$57 with the shipping- not too bad. I'd have spent around that in material...
Now I just have to decide if I want to drill out a bunch of resin to add lighting & batteries.

Hollow? Who did it? What material, resin?
If I light mine (very possible), it'll be a white & blue LED combo with a power source & trigger contact- I'm not a lighting dude by profession; I keep stuff like that simple. I would be happy to document it here, though.
Kitting it would be like, going to Radio Shack & charging you for my gas!

Re: Colonial sidearm prop question:
Unfortunately, the kit is YEARS out of production. Produced by a guy named Dennis Stines. Judging by the pics on MIM, it's the same molds as yours. but without a trigger (so you can add your own) IF you see them come up for sale, there is usually a nice price tag going with it. I was lucky in finding this one, but Iu can tell you I was ripped off in another attempt to get one.
You do the parts list, and I'll give it a try myself lol, there has to be a first time for everything

Re: Colonial sidearm prop question:
You have no idea how many yahrens I've longed for this gun... I made a reasonably accurate one in 1980 out of cardboard & painted with acrylic for an Apollo costume I wore at a SF convention, but sold it to the first dude waving a twenty-dollar bill (that was real money back then).
Ever since, I've regretted selling it.

We'll both muddle through it, I conjure!
Me more than you, considering the resin I'll have to chop through!
