Re: Is it fair to say that the Cloven Hooves scene no longer exists anymore?
I suspect Larson's "we once had a shot" statement may imply that they had a shot planned, but never actually executed. I, too, would like to have seen that footage (despite how bad the prop may or may not have been) but I think commonly accepted knowledge on the subject was that the scene was never filmed.
But this does beg the question asked earlier in the thread...
Where is the prop?
We know it was made, and many saw it as not worthy of filming. Any hidden photos out there that someone is sitting on? All this has happened before...

I'm of the same opinion.
Everything would have had to be signed off and if something looked that bad, they wouldn't have shot it.

Had it been shot, Larson would most likely have referred to it as "in the can". Since he did not, it was probably never done.
As to where the prop is now...I would wager that it was, if it was ever brought on set at all, a cloven-hooved leg from a ram, goat, steer, whatever, suitably charred or let rot a bit. It doubtless no longer exists.

Yeah, and if the thing was a fake prop, if it was so bad-looking, they probably threw it away immediately afterwards!
Wasn't it Anne Lockhart who once had said something about it? Is that interview anywhere? She describes what it looked like...

Both Lockhart and Hatch are approachable. Someone ask them the question sometime and let us know what they say.
