The main things to remember...
The main things to remember when you are playing Battlestar Galactica are these two simple things:
1. Constantly use your primary target button. (Defaulted on the Triangle button on PS2 version). There are some instances where there will be no primary targets. In that case, target enemy vessels at your leisure until the next threat is reported. The best mode to fly in is cockpit view in the Viper...open first person view in the Raider. When flying in cockpit view with the Viper...and you use PT button, your view will skew in the direction of the Primary Targets. The only time I really needed to go to 3rd person view was in trying to locate Magus' Imperium class Raider in the next to last mission.
2. Use your missiles as your primary weapons. If you can configure your missiles in this matter, prioritize agility, power, and blast radius. In order to target a Raider or other target with your missiles, you have to have sufficient lock on time by keeping a target close to your center laser reticle. When you see a white circle envelop a target, you have a lock. If you can get multiple targets enveloped, you will rock their worlds with hellfire. The more you use your missiles...two things will happen through the course of the game...your missile attributes will increase...and your accuracy rating will always be good if you use lock on mode. 90% of the time, I get an A rating in accuracy. Also, this helps with your chain kills, which over time helps build the attributes of your missiles.
Remember these basics, remember your training, and you WILL survive,
