I just got that email too, so I guess I will be paying $53.99. I got $30 off by accepting their pre-approved visa, I really didn't want another credit card but for a $30 gift certificate I couldn't pass it up, even if I never use it again. Although they give some sort of bonus points for using it at Amazon.com and since I do buy things there it might be worth it to hold on to.
