Last night's NCIS episode
Why the heck did they kill off Kate, especially after she saved Gibbs! Makes no sense to me unless the actress portraying her wanted to do like Jane Seymour did when she left Battlestar Galactica. She was the perfect foil to Tony on that show! If anyone has a clue to why they did this I hope you can share you thoughts on it!

That really sucks!!
I like NCIS . Unlike CSI I actually care about the characters and find the storylines believable (my husband the bioilogy teacher is forever trtying to stop the kids citing CSI in their projects)
What series are you up to so I know how many we have left before this happens??
Cheers,
Lara

I think that episode is on this Sunday. Channel Ten has been advertising for this episode for a while saying supposedly one of them dies (never know with Ten, their ads usually have nothing to do with the actual storyline). That sucks its Kate. Totally the wrong character to kill.

Caitlin 'Kate' Todd
NCIS (CBS)
Character : Naval crime investigator
Actor : Sasha Alexander
When Kate died : Tuesday's finale
Cause of death : A terrorist from a continuing story line was after NCIS team leader Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon); Kate took the bullet — causing tremendous emotional pain for Gibbs and creating new dramatic opportunities for next season.
Why? Creator Donald Bellisario says that Alexander asked out of the physically demanding show, that she decided she didn't want to stay for what will likely be a run of many seasons. "She worked like a trouper to the very end," says Bellisario, who is casting for a foreign-born female character.

I'm sorry to see her go, but, I can understand I guess, that it was physically demanding for her. Hope they find someone worthy to replace her. She was one of my favorite characters on the show.
Respectfully,
Dragon Lord Tibbetts

I believe that its the second season.
I sure hope that Abby doesn't decide to do the same because she is really good in her scenes!

Now if Abby or the doctor go, then I will consider packing up my eyeballs and going home with them!!
They are the only two believable eccentric science type on TV! Makes us real science types forgive the stereotyping
I had University lecturers just like David McCallums character and have worked with a goth tech just like Abby.. and they do good science in a believable timeframe
And thanks, Tanky, I reckon it could be the ep this week, thinking of the promo I caught last night, its just a pity its on at such a late slot
Cheers,
Lara

your welcome.
Nothing has been going on lately as I think they are on hiatus for the summer season.

I miss one episode; and that's the one...
I usually watch NCIS if I'm around Tues night. Do like the Mark Harmon character. Think an Apollo in a continuation setting would have been quite simalar.

I watched NCIS last night rather than reality tv
and it was about the murder in the psych-hospital of a young women who had lost her husband in the war so two people could recover some kick-back money.
Well anyways, Abbey was just a bit less punked-up and , hmmm, she is rather attractive.
