Default Galactica 1980 vs BG Season 2

I thought this would be a different area of discussion. Which was worse? We all saw Galactica 1980 and some of us liked while others hated it. We have also seen some of the plans for the second season of BG such as Cain the android, Troy the cabin boy, Sheba killed, Athena maimed(A new actress was going to be hired). There was also going to be an identity switch for the characters namely Apollo becoming like Starbuck and chasing the ladies after Sheba's demise. So which is worse? 1980 for all of it's flaws stayed true to the storyline. Earth is discovered. The drawback of 1980 was the original two stars weren't in it. I wonder how Starbuck would have made out with the ladies on Earth?

I always thought if he made it to Earth, Starbuck would be a retired colonel who spent his remaining years in Vegas.

oh that's easy to answer. When I was riding a bus to school back then, the boy's talk of cylons and blasters were drowned out by the girls screaming and giggling about how cute Dirk Benedict and Richard Hatch were!
