Long time on-line sim pilot
Hi folks, I just wanted to let you all know if any one is getting into on-line sims or games, Ive run most of them at one time or another.
I started back in the BBS days. with Tradewars 2k. When the net opened up I moved to Planetary Raiders (a long running beta space sim). Then moved to WWII flight sims, that lasted for many years.
Then a bud of mine asked me to help him in UO. played for 6 months, gave him all my loot. Then the start of the next generation of on-line multi-players was coming out.
I was playing Earth & Beyond, Jumpgate , and a few others all at the same time. Then Star Wars Galaxies came out.
I dropped everything else. I stayed with SWG until the long awaited space expansion came out. After find out it was Earth & Beyonds engine, glossed over with Star Wars ships, I left .
Ive been playing the new Everquest II, No dang ships, heck you have to walk ever where you go. Ive got my account up for sale, when Its gone. Ill be back to where I started...
Planetary Raiders was year ahead of its time, just like BSG. After PR went commercial, they changed the name to "Jumpgate" So Ive been flying the same sim on and off for over 10 years.
JG isnt very popular because its hard to fly in zero gav! (well almost zero gav)
The only on-liner that uses Newton's law of motion and Einstiein's theory of relativity.
I only fly/play PC games, so anyone interested, give me a shout.
